Kenyans are thoroughly brainwashed by the wazungus indeed. Mzungu language, religion, education, economics, and culture have ever been gleefully embraced.Hatujui tutokako wala twendapo. Thanks, Mr Nymwamu, for sharing your well reasoned thoughts.

      SAY THAT AGAIN! someone INTELLIGENT!
Kenya IS STILL a DUTCH-BRITISH-EAST EUROPEAN-Russian SETTLER COLONY. Thats why KONZA City is still a LAND that is still in the hands of RUSSIANS or some East European country. TATU CITY is LAND that is still owned by the DUTCH-SA-and SA Judge SACKS was lamenting that "corrupt Kenyan land grabbers(sic)" are trying to take away their land!!, The PINNEAPLE farms in THIKA and majority of the COMMERCIAL FARMS and GAME RESERVES in Kenya is land that is still OWNED by ITALY, FRANCE, SCOTLAND SOMALI, and GERMANY...Kenya is STILL a WHITE and ARAB SETTLER COLONY and very little is different from SA! -but when KENYANS start agitating for the return of their LAND, the WHITE SETTLERS are all over the country making themselves VISIBLE and claiming that they are KENYANS but the point is to ASSERT their CONTROL, what they say, "OCCUPY COLONIES" like they OCCUPIED WALLSTREET!, over KENYAN LAND they were GIVEN FOR FREE by the COLONIAL CHRISTIAN and ISLAMIC institutions that were the COLONIZERS.
Kenyans are still A SETTLER COLONY with the 3rd MAJORITY of SETTLER COLONIALISTS in the CONTINENT, alongside SA, NAMIBIA, BOTSWANA, with Europeans, Indians, Somalis, and post independence CHINESE with over 1million each group, but they only announce the 20, 000 Europeans and 50,000 Chinese who LIVE IN THE COUNTRY while the rest OWN businesses and travel but are "citizens" and ARRIVE as and when they NEED to "INVEST" in their SETTLER COLONIAL LANDS, like the PALM GOLDINGS etc building mega structures that KENYANS can NEVER AFFORD to BUY BACK or EVICT them! So they DON'T care how long it will take the prize of these lands keeps going up so that Kenyans can NEVER buy these back in perpetuity!-NO THERE WAS NO DECOLONIZATION of Kenya!-Kenya and Africa is STILL AN IMPERIALIST COLONIALIST settler colonizers today styling themselves as "investors" so that they can invest in the land they are supposed to return LEGITIMIZING their CONTROL of that land in PERPETUITY!--this is why the Somali guest was saying his somali cousin is buying Runda, because if he buys then the land will continue to go up in value so that Kenyans will never get it back, but the Somalis still have their land in Somali unlike Kenyans, and that is why he said there are NO CRIMINALS in NETHERLANDS because they SENT THEM to these SETTLER COLONY countries like Kenya hence the sophisticated GANGSTARISM in Kenya who are trained by these jialbirds who are dumped in Kenya as posterity of the Settler colonialist Imperialists!... This is the kind of ANALYSIS that Kenya needs, to rethink the question of SETTLER COLONIALISTS INVESTING and ensuring that Kenyans will NEVER get back their land!

Cyprian has spent less than 1 hour to roll out what 16 + years of schooling did not teach any graduate. One of fundamental problem of our country is " the system" Unless we are willing to take a different route , expect no change. I agree with him. Each of us must be willing to say enough is enough. The system does not work for us and was not meant to do so. Let's wake up and stop following personalities

Brilliant! His thoughts bring to the fore, core problem of Kenya. When you see Raila frustrated and putting his life on line, this is what is in his mind about Kenya. Sadly the system can’t allow such people in leadership.

I really enjoyed this one (i know i say that with every one of your discussions but your guests are just so smart though!). But this one was really on the mark on a lot and gave a very different perspective on Kenyan issues that i had considered but had not made the connections. He has connected the dots and it makes sense. Even if it may appear as a conspiracy theory (that we are being remotely controlled and thus seems to steal the agency from us), one cannot deny that neo-colonialism is still very much present, if indirectly through our import and export terms and balance of trade and the numeorus loans weve had to take.

I don't think Kenya is a neo colony. Being a neo colonialism implies a lack of freedom on the part of the colonized
I believe Kenya is very much a free country.
The problem is that Kenyans have refused to grow up and take responsibility for their country
We have refused to change "the system" even though it has failed us. I doubt any foreign country will stop us from making changes- Kenya is really not important enough to the world to be a neo colony

This is unfortunate. They keep blaming the West as though Africans cannot break the spell. The British colonized many countries. The jewel of their rule was India. India like many other former British colonies outside Africa decided to work towards their own development. Today India is poised to be the country with the second largest economy in the future. The situation in Kenya took a downturn during Moi's rule. We saw significant positive development during Kibaki's rule. Africans can work towards development. The victim mentality won't help nature development.

Respect Cyprian's opinion but personally I won't wholly blame colonization for our problems.I would outrightly blame anyone who refuses to act on knowledge he has to sort the issues they find to be wrong.Kenyans in the 1918 hadn't attended school to be able to start agitating for their rights after the end of world war 1.Similarly we aren't victims neither are we poor because we have been deprived of anything by anyone it's basically deliberate refusal to change our situation.Blaming anyone is an indication of lack of responsibility. The question should be what can we do using what we already have to redeem ourselves from lack alongside fitting in the current global village arrangement? We have more than enough factors of production to tap from; starting with energy sources, land, labour, intellectual property and market for what we can produce. The goal should first be self sufficiency before we think of either exporting or importantly anything. This however can only be guided by statistics to determine our priority areas to act on.

@Mwatu Wa Ngoma and how is Raila the solution? If he he has it all he needs to do is lay out in the open and ler the people of Kenya know it then the president will take it from there. He doesnt have to go to state house.. It,is serious that a young university man died during demonstrations. Is that what he wants? He has not even addressed that issue. We have to give our president time. There is no quicj fix. We have to put our trust in the Lord.

This is the most useless conversation I have ever heard. 60 years of internal mismanagement and misrule still blaming colonialist. Refusing to take responsibility. It's like a student blaming the teacher at 80years old instead of taking responsibility for his failures. When people elect corrupt leaders they still blame colonialism instead of taking responsibility and trying to correct this nonsense. Completely nonsensical argument.

When Ruto and Gachagua spend 800 million between themselves in the name of office of the President and Deputy President, it shows you that they don't care. People are demonstrating and starving yet they appoint 50 CASs earning a lot of money including loans for cars and houses. Open your eyes to see and understand.
