As the DP said, he is an honest man. He told them exactly what they didn't want to hear but what they needed to hear. There is no need to sugarcoat it or deceive to give false hope that's clearly not there. The sooner they get a hold of this information the better. That way they will be prepared for the difficulties that lie ahead. The truth hurts, and that's the harsh reality.

For someone who's future hopes were based on education, this will be so disheartening. This will build tension even to those studying already. Not only will the graduants face the aftermath of those harsh sentiments of reality but also those proceeding with their education in High schools and Universities. Cold Ice water has been poured to an already shivering University community. Where will all those people go? This is why graduates often become criminals in all dynamics. Gachagua, it's not my fault that society and government praised the excellency of education, it's not my fault that my hopes for success were illuminated by education suggested to me by the society and government. This hopes became reality to me, that indeed without education i'd fail to thrive. Look at us now!! Shuttering and breaking an inherent glimpse that had matured beyond doubt. I now see myself as wasted, with almost 20 years in school. Yes life has other opportunities but the transition won't be easy. Government, DO SOMETHING

School or no school, you are all the same.
Wahenga msemo, akili ni nyweli, kila mtu amaze me.

Do you sincerely believe that Ruto's housing projects will solve youth unemployment? How? So my son complete his/her medicine degree only to become a construction worker? How will our young women fare while pushing wheelbarrows? Do you realize that a wheelbarrow is a symbol of slavery and UDA supporters fully embraced it? In short, the housing projects is nonsensical and will not help our youth, only cartels in the construction industry will benefit if at all the project will take off!

The day we as kenyans take full responsibility of our whole lives and stop depending on the government, is the day we will start growing our economy. The day people will understand that nobody is coming to help you, and that each individual is responsible for their own lives, that is when people will start making decisions that benefit them. We live in a country where a full first class degree holder in engineering can make a simple toy car, in this digital era where information is free.. We need to learn life skills and stop blaming everyone but ourselves for everything that's happening to us.

    • @e.m.k.2018

They are not trash Edward, only a poor structure is in place, because the same degrees run economies in other parts of the world by same Kenyans as migrants. I will give u an example, why teach BSc in Agriculture (100% theory) if you can teach an associate degree in agriculture which is 90% practical. That should be the focus of Keyan Universities.
