Culzean Castle, incredible castle only about 1 hour from Glasgow, near Ayr, Scotland
We have been to Culzean Castle a number of times as it is close to Glasgow, and it is a great visit whether sunny or pouring with rain. You can visit the castle, walled-garden, the adventure play area for kids, woods, beach, parkland, swan pond and deer park.
The castle is situated on the Ayrshire cliffs, which makes it a spectacular view. The castle was designed by Robert Adam in the late 18th century. You can find more about this from the

Please note, the castle might be closed between January to March, but you can still access the grounds (check this in advance).
