I'd love to see future history books simply list #45 with an asterisk next to it and a note that due to an investigation proving the office was not legitimately obtained, actions taken during this time period by the man who fraudulently obtained the office were overturned followed by the real 45th President's name and accomplishments. I have been a Republican my whole adult life and although I probably disagreed with mostly if not all of his politics, I respect President Obama for his professionalism, oratory skills and just his presence. There is much to be said for class. And grace.
That's how many of us would like to feel about the Congressional members of the opposite party and , most of all, about the President when he's not affiliated with the same party as we are. I didn't agree with President Bush, Jr. or Sr., nor did I agree with President Reagan but I certainly respected the office they held and would have absolutely treated them with the respect & dignity they deserved if I had been able to meet them. When it comes to Trump, he's disrespected the American people from day one of his campaign. He's treated our military with disrespect, lied about our intelligence agencies, our State Dept. and many other depts. that he dismisses as useless, believing he knows better than all the people who have worked there, many of them for decades. He doesn't respect the people in our country, the office he illegitimately holds or the laws and ethics we expect from the President. He will never be acknowledged as one of those select few men, thus far, who have come together to benefit the country after they have left office. The only benefits Trump seeks are for himself. I'd love to see future history books simply list #45 with an asterisk next to it and a note that due to an investigation proving the office was not legitimately obtained, actions taken during this time period by the man who fraudulently obtained the office were overturned followed by the real 45th President's name and accomplishments. That would be justice for the American people.
