Great interview. I forgive Eric for not remembering I did the art at 32:56. It has been over 30 years for that illustration. 😀

This was phonemenal! I really miss these Imagineers. They're so exceptional compared to their replacements.

I’ve only ever braved this ride once but it’s great watching the creators talk about how it came together.

It was great to hear from the Imagineers. I don't enjoy the ride itself, but I absolutely love the theming and details. I'm glad the original ride still exists in Florida.

Disney's best-themed ride. By some distance.

If they just release a series of the imagineers' research videos they made making rides (on here or Disney+) and them run commentary on it (even to the kooky old fashion 😂), I think it would be a hit!

Phenomenal. What at joy to see how this ride marvel came together. And a great nostalgia trip for the imagineers and everyone who was around while it was being developed.
Thanks again, Tom and WDWNT team, for making this event a reality. The Disney fan community is an even better place because of this and all you do every day. 👍🏻👍🏻

Tower of Terror is the best ride at Disney. Took my 82 year old dad (a young 82) last year so we could ride as many roller coasters as possible while he still can. We did Tower 10 times in a row and could have done 10 more! He's 83 now and we're going back in September for a repeat. We are always grateful for the creative vision of those who imagined all the things we love at Disney!

Great to hear from the originators and how this great ride came together! My favorite part of the panel interview is the part about how Mark Silverman got the part of doing Rod Serling's voice for the ride. What I find especially interesting is that Disney asked him back to redo the recording for the ride after months as they thought his impression of Serling had improved from his original recording. As part of my passion project to recreate the ride at my home, I was fortunate enough to have Mark do a custom narration of Rod Serling a few years ago. I was a little worried that perhaps after decades since recording his Serling impression his voice may have changed, or his impression might have become rusty. After getting his recording my fears evaporated and I was thrilled as his impression is better than ever; in fact I honestly cannot distinguish Mark's impression from Serling himself.

A friend of mine wanted me to pass on a message to you: "I suspected that the unattributed concept art shown at 34:04 was drawn by former Imagineer Steve Abernathy who worked as a contractor for Disney at the time and said in a recent unrelated interview that he worked on sketchs of the outside of the Tower of Terror specifically in Florida. I can not confirm this."

That was a lot of fun and I learned a lot! Now though, I'm sure they would just AI for Serling's voice.

With people weighing more nowadays on average, I wonder what the factor of safety is and if they'll have to update equipment in the future to handle more weight.

Why does Disney let great imagineers go? Some create their own design companies and others go on to work for the competition.

How do some TH-camrs make a video with second or third hand info about these rides and get hundreds of thousands of views and Tom interviews the actual people and its hardly a blip on the internet. Preposterous
