I agree with everyone else on here. Bassists need more attention in the band, they are the backbone of the music. Even if you cannot hear it, without it, the song will most probably suck. After playing guitar for over a year and a half, I picked up a bass last month. I'm loving it, yes it is easier in comparison to the guitar. But, because of it, my pinkie is stronger, I have more of a stretch and as a result my guitar playing has vastly improved.
