- First time riding the mint condition Yamaha Banshee 350 after the rebuild. This ATV is Fast! When 2 Stroke Powerband Kicks in, this Fourwheeler is almost Uncontrollable and pure Fun to Ride Sideways.
The Banshee feels Faster on asphalt, compared to the Gas Gas Wild 300 (Stock). But on the Trails or a Motocross track the Torque of the 300 makes it easier to ride.

i bought one new in '99. actually my first quad. man what a rush, that first time wide open throttle grabbing gears on an open trail. i still own it but looking for a new house with some land to enjoy it.

Same I have a 2000 Shee got busted ripping down the railroad tracks by the D N R 12 years ago looking to move up north WI house with ATV and snowmobile trials .

@@maranelloo18 never ridden in the dirt?!!?? iv water skipped over 10 ft ponds, hill climbed 100ft clifts, and had studded snows for the ice on lakes. i rode it every day for like 3 years. best experience of my life. it nees a clutch, bottom gaskets and brakes, getting it home in afew weeks. cant wait to start the rebuild.
The banshee will always be my favorite quad, the look and sound is just so timeless and perfect. No quad produced today even comes close to as badass as the banshees are.

@@maranelloo18 a buddy of mine has one with a 396cc kit on it, I believe they were cheetah power valves cylinders with stage 4 pipes and flat slide carbs and that thing hauled ass. With brand new hole shots on the back it would smoke the tires on asphalt in gears 1-4 I got to ride it and it blew me away how fast it was. I would love to find a stock banshee and just put on a set of Toomey's and leave it completely stock.
@@briang4470 That's my intention, to keep the banshee stock. Maybe wider a-arms but that's all. However the idea of building the engine like your friend is tempting me but I don't have the money and I don't want to end up blowing the engine lol.

The Banshee is amazing but there's something about the Warrior thats just so... charming
And it's not that slow! I've ridden up that road on both quads and the Warrior is less fancy but barely slower :)

I like that warrior clip slipped in! I used to have a 01’ warrior in white/black it was some kind of special edition in Canada. Fun atv wouldn’t mind one to play around on. And the banshee is classic
People hate on the warrior, but that's because they've never owned one in my opinion. It's not a rocket but it's realiable and you can have tons of fun without spending too much on it. Thanks for watching! Appreciate your comment dude.

I have 2! A 2000 and a 2005. The 2000 is a drag set up, the 2005 is a long travel cross country set up. I raced Baja on a dirt bike, but there is nothing like riding my Banshee! Thanks for the video, the sound is amazing.

As a Kawasaki guy myself, and I love Tecates, the Banshees do hold a special place in my heart. Especially that beautiful blue Yamaha uses on some of their stuff. Awesome video.

Yeah, they nailed it with the name! I guess the sound of the engine inspired someone in Japan. It sounds like a screaming spirit in the night. Now they call it YFZ350 but in my opinion Banshee 350 suits the bike much better.

You can tell the power difference between a four stroke and a two stroke that warrior had nothin on that banshee love it man cool video
A 125 2 stroke is pretty much equivalent to a 250 4 stroke. A 250 2 stroke = a 450 4 stroke.
And yeah... the little Warrior 350 is not a pure sport quad, it had no chance against the banshee, as you said :) But it's more comfortable to ride, that's for sure! lol

I still regret to this day! I sold my 2004 Limited Edition !Stock! Banshee for peanuts because I needed rent money. I bought it for $2500. Sold it for $1900. I could probably sell it for about $15k today. It was unique. I still miss it so dearly. I will never find another like it.

I am so grateful for the experience to have two quads like this. It brought me so much more than just fun. Especially since I am a lazy ass old lady that lets teenagers kick her out if every merchant here in this small town. It's horrible to have nowhere to spend money when I have it as well as get water or ask for help when I don't have money.

So true, prices are going crazy on those quads. I paid more for this used quad + rebuild than a new banshee in 2010. It sucks cause I don't want to get it covered in mud and dust after all the money I spent... but I won't enjoy it either.

Those are Maier fenders, they are already trimmed like that. I like the maier because of better aerodynamics since I'm only doing asphalt rides on the banshee. But I might consider getting the oem plastics. Thanks for your comment :)

Love the sound from this machine. I always had a polaris predator 500 and it fit me well. I have a friend that has one of these and he would always smoke me on the motorcross track that would let us ride on. I got to take it for a spin a few times and i got to admit it scared me a little. My atv was fast but banshee got their a lot quicker
The predator 500 is a good machine. If I recall correctly the Colten and Caleb Moore used to ride those for their freestyle shows. Maybe it was the predator 450 but the frame is the same.
Its a fun ride. Now days it sits in the garage a lot and i start it every once in a while. Im 48 now and stepped up to a polaris utv. I can put around and take my wife with me. We go through trails around Florida and look for wildlife
My neighbor back home would walk it on a wheelie wide open going around our curve and all the way down the road.....never wrecked it....had more nerve than to pull a stunt..but it was awesome to watch

I reckon they are gonna suit pretty good. You can run on low tire pressure with beadlock wheels, that's going to help putting all that 2 stroke power onto the ground! :)

A friend of mine had one years ago. We used to lower the suspension and take it to street races around Dallas. Waxed that a$$ regularly. I want one but kinda old now and nowhere close to ride.
Aren't quads road legal where you live? Here in Europe you can legally ride on the streets and forests. This might change with the new eco laws unfortunately.
What ratio of oil : fuel are you running? And what octane gas? Thanks
Most of people do 32:1 on pump gas. I'm using 98octane. No issues so far... knock on wood! Thanks for watching

Personally I feel like….if I got the power I’ll use it , so 450 maybe too much for me. My son kicked me off his Yz 450f only cuz he payed half this time lol seriously tho I’m 53 and still have fun imma go w the 350 plenty of power ! I’m 80% off road so 350 is for me!
haha well the 450 being four stroke is going to be more reliable. The banshee is nothing but reliable. Pure fun to drive though! If you are old school, get the 350!

What quad do you like best for trail riding?
The warrior is such a great trai quad. Honda 400ex or ltz400 also good bikes. Raptor 700 if you have the money would be my first choice though.
