Besides the humor and great laughs your Podcast is perfect because of the three generations you are. You are bringing that to many homes that may connect as well as the three of you do. You are special guys . So you know. I am a 71 year old lady that loves to laugh. Thank you.
The experience of this podcast and able to watch the three of you at the same time is way better then just to listen. I call this watching the Podcast my Job at the age of 71. I am retired my time is important to me. Everyone should have a podcast to watch for as long as they want. I found myself watching 4 in a row while trying to catch up starting at the first one.
This podcast is so funny but I’m pretty sure the funniest moment so far happened when Nate referred to Eleanor Roosevelt as a he. I laughed so hard then I had to bring it up on TH-cam just to see facial expressions. Nate and Aaron were both laughing while Brian was looking like he was questioning his life’s choices. Love the podcast. You guys are awesome and I can’t wait to see you live.
I hope you guys decide to talk about all of the states. As a homeschool family, it's so hard to find good curriculum. The kids are always excited for class on Wednesday to listen to their three favorite adjunct professors.
Hearing Nate give advice about healthy eating because he "feels better" after his week of home-made steak and burritos is like listening to an engaged or newly-wed couple give relationship advice.
FOLKS! the topic LITERALLY does not matter in the slightest. Ya'll are hilarious from glassware to chairs. Do all 50 states, HECK do all 52 of em. We love it.
Endlessly entertained by this episode. It's fun sitting here as an engineer and hearing Nate, Boat, and Goat, repeatedly swing and miss on trivial information. Nate's fire-making class for example: 1. "You gotta get a bark" ...(bark does not have a singular form, bark is also not used in fire-making)... 2. "and put it between your toes"(what, between your TOES, maybe if your aim is a blood blister) 3. "You'll get smoke very easy, but it's hard to get the actual coal" (Coal is formed when dead plant matter decays into peat and is converted into coal by the heat and pressure of deep burial over millions of years.) ...it's like watching the slumping guy on the Providence Steamrollers come up to bat for the 13th time and you're like, this guy would have better luck trying to start a fire with two broke bats. Love you guys love the show! Bonus material: ---I actually invented something, it could be the next phone answering robot! Don't worry about mentioning it, that's not why I commented. But since it's relevant to the episode and if you're curious, I invented bakspacer. It's a sweat reducing backpack attachment, Gout could wear it when he visits the cave. It's on bakspacer.com --> don't disqualify my comment and don't read this if it's awkward, just thought it would be a fun fact for anyone that read this far.
There were a lot of good moments in the e episode. But by far the best part was the last 7 minutes of Aaron’s ideas and Nate and Brian returning BLANK STARES to his excited, entrepreneurial face. Keep it up y’all!
Hello Folks! Can’t believe Nate and Aaron just blew past the ruthless “I wish I knew her 9 year olds name, so I could attack her” comment that Berenstain Bear made. Watch your backs folks.
Yeah, bushel got a little saltier than anticipated. Somehow, a quick 9 year olds intellect stings more and also he feels like perhaps this is an opponent he could finally intimidate
I'm gunna be honest, when I first started listening, I thought Bingus was the token un-funny guy to make the funny guys pop a little more. But now I'm realizing just how quick witted and funny he is. I love his comments. Nate, you kinda gotta step it up man. He's making you look bad. 6/10.
I would love to see a weekly segment where Aaron “Fulcrum” Weber describes to us how he would have invented things that have already been invented. Today he tackled the wheel and axle. Maybe next week the spear? “I would take a long stick and sharpen one end to a point. That’s how I would do it.”
The term “Midnight Hour” originated before electricity. People would go to sleep at dark then wake up around 6 hours later. In the “middle of the night” they would wake up, go to the bathroom, have a snack listen to a podcast, and then go back to sleep until dawn. Apparently Abe Lincoln would do a lot of his studying and writing at that time.
Hello folks! The comment about margarine being the fancier option over real butter at the beginning gives you an idea of the intelligent content to come. I laughed too much hearing Nate say "anyone can make a sword but not a harpoon!". Love the podcast and I'd vote to continue the states segment
This ep made me laugh harder than any other, especially when Nate was razzing Aaron for gasping at the iPhone. On a side note, my mother wrote in her journal about leaving me outside in my playpen on an upstairs balcony while she would clean the house. I was a toddler, and she wrote how funny it was to watch me looking around bewildered when the wind would blow. That was around 1980, but maybe she was still following the old recommendation to leave kids out in the cold to make them stronger. Thanks for shedding some light on what I thought was childhood neglect.
I know I speak for a lot of folks in saying that I cannot wait for the gang to discuss my state (Arizona) and I thoroughly enjoyed the Rhode Island episode. I knew nothing about Rhode Island before, and still don't, but I loved listening to Nate, Aaron and The Bent Neck Lady talk and laugh about random Rhode Island facts. Keep it up!!
Cheero Folks, My family and I were at The Old Mill Restaurant in Pigeon Forge and the waiter walked up and said “Hello Folks” as his initial greeting. I said, you must be a fan of Nateland!Much to my disappointment, he just looked at me blankly. Needless to say, my family also just looked at me blankly, but I still laughed! Oh well, great show!
Alright, first we had the Krispy Kreme challenge. Next up is the primitive invention build challenge. Aaron's abundance of confidence has not been deterred by his lack of donut consumption. I think he may be downplaying how incredibly difficult it would be to carve a wheel from a boulder (with a hole directly in the middle for an axle) into a round enough shape out of nothing more than another rock. I think blender is the only one with a realistic idea of how hard it would be to make even the oldest inventions. Love you guys, keep up the great work!
God i wish you guys did 2 shows a week, between Nate, Aaron, and Breakcheck, they make the days between shows take FOREVER!..thank you guys, funny as heck.
Brian, you are amazing! All the thought and preparation you put into each episode is so significant! I haven't had time to comment on each one as I am catching up, but I have loved them all! Nate commenting on Aaron's invention ideas! 😂 You 3 are comic gold! 😍
I’ve been watching your podcast on TH-cam while I run on my treadmill in the morning. I almost fell off the treadmill laughing at the part talking about adjunct teachers. You said hi I’m a traveling professor! Hilarious. I backed up and watched it again laughing just the same. Thanks for the laughs Nate. You’re my favorite.
Also Nate telling us that he is a slow reader is the best. We love listening to Nate read regardless of his speed because every word he reads in the sentence is a surprise when he comes upon it. Every sentence becomes a new adventure in Nateland folks.
The husband driving that four person bicycle will be pissed at his wife back there complaining about how dangerous this seems instead of sewing like she should be. We all know how those family sewing bike rides go.
I work at at engineering firm and one of the engineers I work with is an adjunct professor at a local college. I overheard him telling someone on the phone that he’s an adjunct and couldn’t help but burst out laughing at my cubicle. Thanks for all the laughs past and future you guys are the best.
Hello Folks! Quick rundown of Aaron’s inventions for those who missed it: 1) A laundry machine for plates. 2) A car wash for people. 3) A Yankee candle. Nate and Brackish water, watch out for this guy, regular old renaissance man! Love the show guys, thanks for doin’ it! Goodbye Folks!
The origin of "the gasp" bit. 1:19:15. My favorite part of it is Nate's impression of a very young Aaron in a very sweet young Alabama voice calling for his mother... (GASP) "Maaa-muh... you sed dey ain't gonna do it, but dey did it Maaa-muh!"
Love you guys, kid hears me laughing with my EarPods in and asked me if I’m okay. Guess that says something about both of us. Downloaded the app to listen to Aaron Saturday, enjoyed listening to him and the Grand old oprey. Thanks you and keep it up
Been a fan of Nate’s for a bit now but just discovered this podcast and have been BINGEING. Never having seen the other two, for some reason I was surprised to see on their Instagram that Bird Box is skinny. He looks so kind. Love the content, keep it up, folks.
Nate's take on "Weber residence, may I ask who's calling?" Died laughing, he connected everything into that! I am looking forward to the comments section next week.
Dear Nateland. I am sitting here on the couch after getting my vasectomy. I have earned control of the tv. This happens one other time a year; on my birthday. I had to pick something that would go perfectly with this unique discomfort, and that I can have on with my kids in the room. It's a no brainer. I am catching up with some past episodes. Thanks for the distraction. Though I am pretty sure when this pain medication wears off, laughing may not be the best choice, but it will be worth it. So long folks.
When Aaron asks with complete sincerity "Do you think podcasting is the printing press of spoken word, in a way?" I was dying. I think the printing press of spoken word is quite literally, the printing press.
I'm so happy people can use this podcast to help them fall asleep at night. I, on the other hand, will be awake all night worried about getting strangled by my bed sheets, something that had never entered my mind before this surreptitious episode. Educational podcast indeed! Thanks a lot folks!
So I've been a year behind this podcast since I started, but have noticed how Biscuit's jokes seem to be getting much funnier. After the end of this episode, I realized it might be a terrible sign... Nate thinking that he'd rather have an Adjunct professor be called a Ratified Professor. Side note, just saw Nate's Raincheck tour in Cincinnati and he was awesome! Huge fan and love the podcast! Keep it up the work.
It took this long, but I finally caught up to the current episode. Had to listen to every one. This one had me laughing so hard. Brady was doing his best to chime in, but Nate and Aaron were just rolling. All he could do was sit back and hold his stack of papers. Hilarious. Brady, I got you. Some day you will be heard Brother. Don’t give up. Your friend, Vinny
While listening to Arlin roll out his dishwasher invention, I gasped loud enough for one of my co-workers to ask me if I was OK. If Norm and Beanbag would have gasped at it also, I would probably have wet my pants and lost my job. Keep 'em coming.
I love that Nate and the crew are so concerned that their listeners be proactive during the leisurely listening lol so considerate 🤣.... Keep up the solid work guys I enjoy it.... Even though my arms are crossed
Every episode, Boscoe has some incredible call backs to jokes from previous episodes that are almost always overlooked because he’s the geriatric middle child of podcast. Then the one time Nate references something from a previous episode, Beaker is surprised that Nate was paying attention and actually remembered it. Nate proceeds to verbally assault him, and I’m here for it. More of that please!
Oh my gosh! So funny! Around 1:15 when Nate imitates a proper "Adjunct" Professor calling the Weber Household on the old landline!! 😂😂😂 Watching some old episodes that I never caught before! My throat is tired from laughing! Having a Good Time!
After yet a second week of Nate trying to understand the definition of adjunct professor, it has become clear why his community college refused to even give him a single credit for a years worth of classes. I’m sure that’s a year he wishes he could have back. Fun fact: Your tour date in my hometown of Mobile, AL is on my birthday. Looking forward to bringing my unbelievably strict parents to a comedy show that we can all enjoy. Keep it up folks!
After first listening during my commute, I'm now watching with family later in the week and paying extra attention to Nate's reactions to certain words used by Beans and Aaron. He usually responds "yeah" but you just know it's not registering by his expression. Saw Nate in Denver at the Paramount a few years ago and it was awesome. Hope the three of you tour together after COVID and swing by the Rockies.
This podcast is the highlight of my week - but I have to admit that as much as it makes me laugh I spend an equal amount of time talking TO y’all like people talk to their tv while watching football. I’m in my car telling you what an adjunct professor is realizing you can’t hear me. Maybe Laura can start making a list of topics y’all are clearly confused about so as soon as you turn the camera off she can sit down with y’all for a debrief. Seriously though - love getting to hear Nate, Aaron and Bobbaloo each week!
I used to have such faith in Aaron when he would confidently say oh I could do this oh yeah that's what that means until I saw him in the donut episode which shattered my faith in him now he's talking about being able to make wheels out of rocks and I am just laughing and shaking my head. keep up the great work guys I look forward to every Wednesday
What’s up, everybody?! I don’t know if it’s just me but with my second go around of the podcast, the dynamics of the trio feels like in order for Nate to hang out with his buddy Aaron his parents made him bring his little brother, bottomless mimosas Bates. Who every now and then makes his way into the conversation. Can’t get enough of this “educational,” podcast. Very eager to see what’s in store for next week. Maybe it’ll be sponges, who knows?! Jokes aside, love you guys. Keep up the good work. Good bye, folks!
The 3 minute bit on adjunct professors saved this entire episode for me. Problem is it came from the comments about the previous episode. It’s episodes like this that make me appreciate a 2 hour conversation about calendars even more.
I typically listen to this when I’m working (in HR), and end up crying laughing while filing paperwork. I’ve only had someone walk in to my office once while I was laughing, but expect it to happen plenty more times during my tenure there. Love the podcast folks, and wish I could watch on TH-cam more to watch how often Aaron has to back away from the mic because he’s laughing at Nate.
Seriosuly love this, I saw Nate for the first time on Brad Paisleys comedy Netflix thing, old two thumbs, that bit had me hooked on Nate. You all deserve many more subscribers, huge fan here 🤘🤘
I laughed so hard at the Pope Greg joke I wish there was a tv show about Pope Greg setting up the calendar while having crazy adventures during late nights of partying.
The confidence Aaron has in being able to make a wheel made me gasp. “Just get a rock”, he says. I don’t think Arron has ever seen a rock. He’d have to find a rock that’s almost already a wheel. 🤣
man, I didn't think Aaron was going to make it towards the end there, I was watching him laugh and he couldn't breath...lol...another classic episode...
Definitely learn stuff! A couple weeks ago my girlfriend and I were watching a space movie in which one of the astronauts got “marooned”. The nasa pilot said the word “marooned” and my girlfriend looked over at me confused as to what that character was referring to in which I quickly answered in my most educated voice “it’s an old word used by pirates meaning to leave someone abandoned on an island in which this movie is referring to an isolated planet rather than island” she stared at me baffled by my vocabulary knowledge and I simply replied “yeah I listen to a lot of educational podcasts at work”. Skip to a week after that. After having caught up on the Nateland podcast on her own she came to me and said “I figured out why you’re so smart,” with a chuckle in her voice. “I replied why?” To which she answered “you know nateland is not educational”. Since then I have moved out. Jk but great work guys everytime I listen to this I return to the real life with so many new talking points and trivia answers it’s insane. It’s easy to soak up and learn facts when they make you laugh so much. Thank you
I zoned out in the portion about re-reading things so I rewinded and relistened. Thankfully I have reprogrammed my zone answering robot to tell me the pertinent things and he was silent. I hope I didn't miss anything germain to my secular life. The fact that I'm here listening to this instead of the presidential inauguration says a lot about our society. I finally caught up to comment but Nate, Aaron and Barnaby, you guys make my day. Keep up the average american work folks!
I had to stop recording my TH-cam videos twice because I was laughing so hard!! "I gasped when Steve Jobs first scrolled on the first iPhone." "Did an animal ever invent anything?" I am literally listening to the "dumbest" show on the internet and it is HILARIOUS!! It's like hanging out with your friends at midnight and just talking about anything and laughing all night. This show brings me joy. Ya'll need to relax on Brisket. He actually sets up all of Nate's jokes. Go back to the tapes, he'll say a subject and then Nate goes off on a rant. I find it hilarious that Aaron always says "I wonder..." "Does this exist??" "How do you think that works?" BRO!! You have the laptop right in front of you! Start Googling that ish. Also have that chart guy send in more Correlated Charts. Those were hilarious. Keep the States Episodes coming. Looking forward to episodes on "Tables", "Chairs",. "Jackets", and "The Oxford Comma." Okay the last one might be too highbrow for this show. Literally best show ever! I want to give all my hours and minutes away for more of this. ***Edit*** Also I feel this format really does exercise your "Comedy Chops" as it were. You're basically saying "Be funny talking about pencils, calendars, states, etc." Makes you quick on your feet. Breakfast for President 2024!
Nate's introduction to Spurious Correlations was fantastic... you could almost hear his brain saying "finally! scientific proof for all my wildest theories!"
It kills me that secret genius Aaron tries to make this great point on how *he* would put a wheel on an axle, by describing the only possible way to put a wheel on an axle. And then completely missed Big Lots sarcasm when he asked him to repeat himself
The invention that Aaron wants is a commercial sanitizer dish machine. You just pull the door down, stuff as much as you can on the rack and let her rip for about 90 seconds. It’s blasted with hot water and food grade washing chemicals.
Hands down... Funniest episode. Oh my gosh. Nate is starting to sound like Breakfast's dad talking about how we are losing character by not having to go pick out a movie a blockbuster.. like my grandpa when garages were invented and people didn't have to see their neighbors anymore or when bicycles came along and took the kids too far away from the farm.. haha
It feels like Andy and Beasley won a drawing for some sort of fantasy experience to see what it would be like to work for Michael Scott, but it just keeps going long after it ceases to be fun or amusing.
The sign of a great sports team is bouncing back after a tough defeat. You guys did this by going from Rhode Island (your worst ep) to Inventions (your best). Love listening to you folks all the way down in NZ. Aaron = MVP. Ka kite.
Nate: I just never understood TiVo. Also Nate: you think scrolling on a touch screen smart phone was impressive in 2007? Imagine everyone’s surprise when Nate said he wasn’t a fast reader. Love the show, love the ridiculous tangents and riffs. Grateful to have this band playing while we all sink.
How about an entire episode of Nate making fun of cancer patients? But seriously I think doing an episode on each state is a good idea as long as they're sprinkled in between other episodes. I kinda like not knowing what the topic is going to be. Love the show!
Name is pronounced exactly how it is spelled.... I watched this episode when my wife abandoned me with our two month old when she went to get her hair cut. I couldn’t calm him down so I decided to throw on the pod and just deal the crying. Less than two minutes after “Hello Folks”, he was sound asleep in my arms. I guess that validates all the other comments on how boring this podcast is. The pointless banter was better than white noice and a bottle for my son. Love the podcast and listen every week! Keep up the well work Nate, Arron, and Bonnet
As a teacher, when I would eat lunch at work, I would eat somewhat healthy, for the fact that I didn’t have that much time, and there’s societal pressure to eat healthier in public. You can’t eat hot dogs in a staff room, you have to eat those alone in the bathroom, in shame. But because of Covid, even though we are back teaching in person here in Montreal, they encourage us to go home to eat lunch to limit the number of people in the staff room. I now go home for lunch. My wife asked me what I ate for lunch. I said 2 burritos and some candy. She asked « no fruit? » I responded « the candy was fuzzy peaches...and Swedish berries ».
Besides the humor and great laughs your Podcast is perfect because of the three generations you are. You are bringing that to many homes that may connect as well as the three of you do. You are special guys . So you know. I am a 71 year old lady that loves to laugh. Thank you.
I would love to see Aaron call and try to cancel his gym membership live on the podcast. Keep up the good work Folks!
How many likes do we need to get to achieve this?
Make it happen Nateland!
LOVE
Such a good idea, that needs to happen!
Have nate call as Aaron

"Could you make a fire out of nothing?"
"Right now?"
My sides hurt from laughing so hard! These guys are the best!
Hearing Nate give advice about healthy eating because he "feels better" after his week of home-made steak and burritos is like listening to an engaged or newly-wed couple give relationship advice.

Nate mimicking Aaron's "gasps" for everything had me rolling 😂
Tears and the inability to breathe for a short while over here...
Nateland is this nations backbone
There were a lot of good moments in the e episode. But by far the best part was the last 7 minutes of Aaron’s ideas and Nate and Brian returning BLANK STARES to his excited, entrepreneurial face. Keep it up y’all!
I would just like to hear Nate give this one a shot.
Love the show!
Brian, "Got your hat picked out?" GOLDEN!!!

I think we need another bonus video like the Krispy Kreme’s. Nate, Gout, and Burning Man trying to start a fire from nothing, who can do it first?

I think Adjacent Professor Bargatze would gasp if he saw an animal invent something.
Love the show folks! Nate, Aaron, and Birbiglia are the best!
Hey Nate, when can the great people of Nateland buy some merch?
Really want one of those hats. 👍 I wear a ball cap regularly because I shave my head.
Mr. 36 donuts is making wheels no problem. Love it
This ep made me laugh harder than any other, especially when Nate was razzing Aaron for gasping at the iPhone. Hello Folks!
Quick rundown of Aaron’s inventions for those who missed it:
1) A laundry machine for plates.
2) A car wash for people.
3) A Yankee candle.
Nate and Brackish water, watch out for this guy, regular old renaissance man!
Love the show guys, thanks for doin’ it!
Goodbye Folks!
Woke up at 5:30 am to try and be the first to watch !!!! I failed .. been here for every episode love you guys!!!
I died at the “what calendar are you using?” part 😂
Nate doing his smart-person impression is giving me flashbacks of Michael Scott and Homer Simpson. Absolutely hilarious.
Love you guys, kid hears me laughing with my EarPods in and asked me if I’m okay. Guess that says something about both of us. Downloaded the app to listen to Aaron Saturday, enjoyed listening to him and the Grand old oprey. Thanks you and keep it up
Aaron: How would you sell that?
Nate : Bananas!
And that’s why I love this podcast
The correlation graphs had me CRACKING UP. So random. I love it.
I think Aaron is extremely smart, he knows how to ditch an argument when he realises he can't change Nate's opinion. The Gore Vidal of our generation.
Nate's reactions to Aaron's inventions have me absolutely dying with laughter. Can we PLEASE do a whole episode of just this???
I was laughing so hard that I could barely breathe when Nate went in on Aaron’s IPhone swipe gasp. This is the funniest podcast going!
Every time Nate would go back to making fun of Aaron's gasp it had me dying
“Mama, you said they ain’t going to do it but they did it Mama.”😂😂😂

When Aaron asks with complete sincerity "Do you think podcasting is the printing press of spoken word, in a way?" I was dying. I think the printing press of spoken word is quite literally, the printing press.
well....the printing press prints the written or typed word - think maybe you missed Aaron's point
That Nateland hat looks great on Nate. That's the perfect font for his style of comedy and this show.
Nate says “I read down the page just to get the idea.”
Oh we know Civil Station!
Love the podcast guys
Even though my arms are crossed
going back to these old episodes, it's apparent how much healthier these fellas look these days.
Watching some old episodes
that I never caught before! My throat is tired from laughing! Having a Good Time!
The first part of every podcast is like Hooked on Phonics for Nate
After yet a second week of Nate trying to understand the definition of adjunct professor, it has become clear why his community college refused to even give him a single credit for a years worth of classes. I’m sure that’s a year he wishes he could have back.
Fun fact: Your tour date in my hometown of Mobile, AL is on my birthday. Looking forward to bringing my unbelievably strict parents to a comedy show that we can all enjoy. Keep it up folks!
I love how Nate still hasn't fully caught on to what an adjunct professor is
As a former adjunct myself, this cracks me up every time 😂
@@veronicabloemeke2688 I'm sorry to hear that. I hope things are going better for you.
@@KN-jr6tx Not sure what you mean? Being an adjunct isn't a bad thing
@@veronicabloemeke2688 Agreed. It was a play on Nate's confusion about what adjunct even means.
I don’t think any of them really did. They couldn’t really set Nate straight. As a former adjunct professor, I think adjunct just means underpaid.
“Do you think podcasts are the printing press of the future?” = me standing there like my team just missed a field goal.
A special edition of Naked and Afraid with these dudes would be unbelievable!!!
The Notre Dame diploma is getting a bit tarnished in this episode.
"Instead of the toilet?" absolutely killed me.
man, I didn't think Aaron was going to make it towards the end there, I was watching him laugh and he couldn't breath...lol...another classic episode...
I would love merch of
“Have animals ever invented anything?” Aaron “like the grill” Weber-Class of 2020
On a shirt yearbook photo style
"You can just go and jump in the pool!"
"Instead of using the toilet!?"
"The will, it was hard to get it perfectly round"
OHHH a WHEEL
Thank you
Love the podcast guys! Keep it rollin
This literally would have been the perfect episode to talk about light switches. Come on guys!
"Planes make you go fast" "Planes can get above clouds" I. LOST. IT.😂😂😂
Nate making fun of Aaron gasping is perhaps the funniest thing he's ever done
When Nate doesn’t like a comment Aaron makes, he sounds like giving Aaron the “I’m not mad, I’m disappointed” Dad speech.
***Edit***
Also I feel this format really does exercise your "Comedy Chops" as it were.
“Cereal’s super easy to eat” isn’t that far off from “Ladies and gentleman, this is a pencil. You can write with it.”
It kills me that secret genius Aaron tries to make this great point on how *he* would put a wheel on an axle, by describing the only possible way to put a wheel on an axle. And then completely missed Big Lots sarcasm when he asked him to repeat himself
“Margarine is the fancy butter.” 🙄 Spoken with the confidence of a guy who brings zinfandel to a billionaire party.
Margarine is poison and cheap.
Here's a question: how far into the future would you have to go, before people don't care thay you're a time traveler?
Possible show sponsor: Country Crock Spreadable Margarine! 🤣 Seriously, we love the show guys! Keep up the great job! 👍
Yet somehow, Nate will probably butcher it haha
Nate, that new hat is lit! You guys should do a military branch episode. Start off with the Marines of course. Another great episode. 💪
That hat is 🔥
The black bill really ties it all together.
