Sounds bad ass. I'm waiting for the Syntakt II before deciding on which of the three updated boxes to get. The Syntakt spoke more to me originally but Digitone II is really dope.
Absolutely love that rumble bass. Digitone II is on my wish list for sure - it has everything i was missing from other Electron gear (enough tracks, polyphony, multiple synth engines, arp) can't wait to get my hands on it.
Great video man. So far every video I've watched of the Digitone II uses a lot of fizzy high frequency sounds and the DN2 has sounded less warm to my ears than a lot of music I've heard with the og, so I was beginning to think that the og might have a warmer sound than the II, but I love the sounds and overall tone you are creating here, so this video has me sold on the new one. 👍
It has exactly the same 32 bit FM engine as the OG for FM sounds. I got mine yesterday it sounds fantastic and even better with the compressor and Master OD. There’s just a lot of crap demos that are more focused on obscure weirdness than anything musical. It’s all what you do with it :)
Great sonics, great video. Really enjoyed your exploration of process. What are some recommended compressor settings that you’ve found good? For the rumble, are you placing on same step as kicks? Sounds really great
@SkeletonJacket Bought my Syntakt 1 month ago, and as a hybrid drum computer, it does a fantastic job,the fact that they combined analog and digital is mind blowing ,and today I just got my Digitone 2 delivered .I was wondering if that would be a good choice . Sky is the limit 🥸🤠😎

Digitone, despite its sweet name, can produce violent stuff!
Totally

@@videosarchive8058 yes, same steps as the kick and just adding a bunch of delay and reverb to it
FFS!!! I see my money flying away with your video....
Haha you won’t regret it
Sounds 1000 time better than a syntact.
@@dominikhaering I think a syntakt and a digitone 2 would be a killer combo
