Both parties are fucking shit. But the left is also insane and the fact that Elon has done more to prevent child exploitation in like a week than twitter did in 10 years is very telling to the old twitter upper management. They should be jailed for that, having victims and families of victims come to them and twitter just be like well it's not breaking any rules so nothing we can do. Then they ban conservatives and the actual fucking president. Just disgusting people, every one of them

I've noticed Facebook does what I call shadow unbanning (or unblocking rather) I started blocking gambling pages that were advertised to me constantly so they didn't appear anymore, but after a while I noticed certain gambling ads from certain companies were still coming through, sure enough they were no longer on my block list, and this would happen multiple times.

It may seem that way, but the reality is the advertisements are probably classifying themselves as non gambling content, in effect trying avoid your filter in order to increase exposure. If you are familiar with recommender systems, which I am, and the technology, you would know it's pages trying to circumvent simple filtering rules by perhaps changing their classification.

19:49 There ARE actually a few instances in history where someone with massive power and was unaccountable to anyone behaved well, just not many. The first I know of was when Cincinnatus was made temporary dictator during wartime to save Rome, and then voluntarily abdicated that power once the crisis was resolved and retired to his farm. You could argue that George Washington right after his success with the war of independence could have held on to power until he died, but he decided that two terms was enough and retired to his farm as well. However, such instances are SO rare that the people who manage to do so become legend. Cincinnatus was so revered that even the US named a city after him - Cincinnati. Washington was so revered that two terms became an unwritten rule, only broken during WWII by FDR, and then the two term limit was written into law in 1951.

On the topic of VPN's, it depends on what you mean. They have always had the right to get a warrant and get information from any provider ISP, VPN, whatever, there's nothing wrong with that when there is a legitimate process. However much of the debate around VPN and encryption in general have come from demands by the government to have back doors, alternate encryption keys, or legislating a certain maximum strength for consumer encryption. Besides the very real ethical, legal, and constitutional issues of mass data collection without a warrant. Backdoors and weaker encryption are not possible without opening up massive security and trust problems. It's hard enough to secure things without the government intentionally trying to create single points of failure and weaken encryption. I'm fine with not catching a few bad guys, trust me, as a programmer and IT vet, you do not want the alternative.

These people commenting on your live stream don't even know what they are talking about. If they did, What do they mean "toxic"? It was proven that many of these people banned were done with no actual reason. And lied about.

TH-cam is on the same wave. Me and many others are being constantly censored by TH-cam in comment sections for very arbitrary reasons. I’d be surprised if this one even gets through

They went from saying “it isn’t happening.” to “it doesn’t matter.”
I think the most frustrating part is the manipulation of trends. Trends act like news and if not manipulated are beautifully unbiased.
To simplify this idea, remember some
Tweets are deleted for violating ToS. These suppressed tweets aren’t against the rules they just are just opinions they don’t want you to see.

@@An.Unsought.Thought What point? That private corporations tend to push their own interests? Yeah I thought that was self evident, because it's been a thing for way longer than the existence of Twitter. And I don't think my gender is relevant, any more than yours is, and bringing it up out of nowhere makes me think you have some sort of personal issue. Grow up

21:45 I mean... Asmon you are right but the problem is bigger than any of us can imagine. Take for example Nestle. There have been multiple lawsuits about their inhumane model of business since way back in 2000 (if anyone thinks im making this up you have brain (i hope) you can do the search). And now imagine how many daughter companies Nestle owns. They are literally all over the world with their products (kit-kat, lion, nesquick, etc...). And why hasnt MOST of the media brought this to their platform??? Maybe because its majorly owned by a certain somebody... hmmmm... makes you wonder how fucked are we and we dont even know it (yet).

Twitter talking with the FBI constantly is normal. When you have a largely unmoderated space, ignoring their joke of a report system, people are going to be using it for criminal activity.
Most social media platforms do have a disclaimer that what you post can be subpoenaed by law enforcement and if it's a valid request, they do have to comply.
Even 4chan had to deal with stuff like that. Moot himself was subpeonaed and had to appear in court.

    • @shapeshiftingpedro
      @shapeshiftingpedro ปีที่แล้ว

You're coping. The FBI here enlisted Twitter to censor people on behalf of the government due to their opinions and political beliefs. That's a violation of the 1st Amendment.

Thank you for not humouring the Republican Nazi comment. It is so toxic. Almost all democratic societies have Conservative Party/parties to represent a natural political viewpoint. It is so shitty that has been vilified to the point they aren't allowed to speak online to the same degrees as others.

Nobody's like destiny are saying this is a nothingburger because there's no direct evidence of malicious intent towards those who don't agree with them politically. This really shows how neck deep in ideology some people are.

  • @foxokon94

I think the real question here is, why would Twitter throttle user visibility and the answer to that is simple. Twitter thinks the user should be banned, but does not want the backlash of actually banning them. That is very cowardly of twitter, but somewhat understandable.

  • @TechProFury

This truly is not party thing
It is establishment vs people. It just goes in one direction right now.
The establishment placed all bets on being able to pursuade and use the Democrat party, and they are correct. They can convince them to be for or against anything. Principles be damned

NOBODY should be censored it's is the first amendment, & an inaliable right. No company has the right to take that away, if they do then they are more powerful than the government and beholden to nobody but the almighty dollar.
