Let's Build in Planet Coaster! In Episode 32 of our building series we begin working on a central weenie, a huge castle town using fantasy scenery inspired by the disney castle in various disneyworld parks. This castle will become the backdrop for our lights and vfx fireworks show!
Planet Coaster is a construction and management simulation video game developed and published by Frontier Developments. The game is a spiritual successor to the RollerCoaster Tycoon series, and is perfect for the detailer, with the third game in that series having been previously developed by Frontier.

The paths can be so frustrating.
Castles in theme parks are always rather stylized, so I think a very neat garden with hedges and flowers would look great in it. You could put Amelie in there, maybe even let her walk around a little bit. A statue seems better for the balcony if you want to put some fireworks up there. It's definitely safer :D

Itd be cool to have like a Robin Hood themed ride or area in the castle
In your second park you should try a Steampunk theme, and don't say it can't be done cus if you just change the colours and music on practically all the ride it can easily fit into the steampunk category. Just check out Silvarets Steampunk castle (his Volvara series), it's a really good example!
You could put billboards inside the castle with both still and animated paintings, sort of like in Harry Potter.
Add a little bit of Magic :)
You could use the artworks of Donatello for forced perspective references. You could build a fast coaster from the castle to the skull island called Wrath of the Sea Witch. and a Magic Cat ride called Amelia's Escape.

Ok. So I'm going to suggest something wild..
Could you perhaps have another island somewhere in the park, which encompasses the Witches castle and the surrounding areas are very haunted and Halloween-y. And the castle in this video would be seen as the 'good castle'. Not sure how you could work this, but just something I thought of..
Also, could you maybe change some of the turrocks around the edge of the island, I don't think they would be all the same. Maybe some could be taller?

Maybe you could have a meet and greet with Prince Amelie inside of the castle like how Disney has the Princess Fairytale Hall.
I just recently came across this planet coaster series. I'm binge watching it to get caught up. It should be fun, I got a lot of episodes to watch. The park looks great, I can't wait to see how you got here!

You should do a coaster that goes under the island and will be the evil witches lair
If you're going for Disney evil with the witch, then lime green is the colour to go for. Seriously - google it.

Very nice. Looking forward to this new area developing. I think there could be more room for rides than you realise. A tall one inside a wizard's tower, maybe, or a garden party collection of gentle rides in a decorative courtyard, like Versailles.
I'm surprised that you can't change the colours of the decorative lights. If only they had a way to turn them off and otherwise use hidden spots or something like that.
You may want to get your wife in for a colour check on the bridge. There's a bright cyan piece that doesn't blend too well. Also I think you missed the disc piece at the top of each bridge turret.
+GuanoLad Thanks for the tips, the colours have been fixed and I think you are right about rides... thinking a kiddie dragon Coaster bursting through the castle walls out over the water might be cool!

Best idea ever: make the front of the castle nice and the back really scary. Then make a sleigh track ride that goes underneath the castle in the dark and scary areas
I've had some crash issues since 1.3, but the few times it's done it it's noticeably because I've had more than one video billboard playing at one time, the game doesn't seem to like that. But yeah, since this new update I have experienced for crashes than I have before.
I usually sink the small flood lights into the building to where they disappear to create colored light on my buildings at night
Ive been following since you started this park, because I fell in love with your entrance, Ive been so excited for you to start the castle/medieval theme. It looks amazing :)

You're such as amazing builder. I binge watched all your videos this week. However the stone pieces under the lights on your castle bridge are bright bright neon-ish blue. Not sure if you were aiming for the same lavender as the castle roof. I know you're color blind so I thought i'd let you know just in case.
Plz tell me what area that boomerang coaster is in because honestly it does not fit with the style. You should put it in like a steampunk area
Can you do a fairy island/place. with the fairy like rides full on fairy tale theme because i think the theme you are building is medival and a bit fairy tale theme

+Jackson Rogers The very first video I did was a replica of Magic Kingdom's entrance, 3 of the Main Street buildings are Disney replicas and most of the park has been heavily influenced by Disney... I don't know why it's a surprise! Still, this won't be a replica of the Disney Castle, just influenced by it :)
