Just loved all of the garments, if pushed I would say that the coat was my favourite. How clever you are to think of the colour blocking in such fantastic colours. I am over 70 (I don't dress like so many 70 year olds though, where is the law that says we have to abandon style when we get our pension!!) so as much as I love most of the things that you make they aren't always suitable for my body shape, but most of these have given me ideas! They are timeless. Thank you for your videos.
I am humbled by you lovely words Christine. I love that you are being a rebel and going your own way style wise. Its so true that society seems to good at trying to tell us how we should look/dress. But I feel like since I started sewing I have been able to fully express myself and my joy through creating my garments. Sewing is great like that, don't you think? xxx

Aw thanks Patricia! The burda top is a nice little change from the usual - its one of the things I like abut BurdaStyle - they do try really hard. Even if sometimes it means some styles don't work.

Hila, your fabric choices are right on for you; really like the 'faces' sweatshirt, the scuba knit fabric for the skirt (gorgeous drape and fit on you). You are winning the 'fit-fight' that is the headache of sewing; you might really be able to survive without ready-made, commercial clothing, it's certainly not going to fit any better! You seem to work out, add in things like the darts to add shaping to a boxy-style dress, your 'swayback adjustment'. You are handling the sewing challenges like a champ.
Thank you! I do work out - joined the gym in July last year and I love it! I have been lucky with fitting in that the Burda block seems to fit me just fine. I did a lot of pattern drafting courses and read a lot books to get there. Its an ongoing process but worth it.
Oh well it's a hard task choosing my favourite, but l will say the beautiful coat and fitted jersey dress in blue printed fabric. Keep up the great videos you cheer up our screens 🌞👼😁

You've been very productive! My favorite garment would be the dress made out of the Lady McElroy viscose jersey; it was just beautiful. My favorite design element would be the unique collar design on the Named Coat in the boiled wool. All your garment were really lovely. I really appreciate you showing the insides. It also gives me a bit of insight into the garment construction.

I forgot to mention that the fabric washes well - by the time I recorded this video it had been washed at least 3 times already :-). x

I really like the 11/2018 burda style you recommended. Would love to see a page by page video on this, and most of all your take on it. I adore the burda too in autumn 🍂 jewel tones with the contrast piece, really good cut and fit - looks fantastic. Actually just generally am starting to get into burda.

All fabulous makes...and beautiful fabrics! You've been busy!! I have the first two of your makes on my 'to do' list... The grainline Archer shirt is lovely and the coat is fab. I had the Breaking the Pattern for Christmas so planning on making the pinafore and the shirt with the shoulder cut outs!
I like the shirt with the shoulder cut out too though to be honest I'd make everything in the book which is what surprised me about it. It was that good to me. The BurdaStyle sheath dress is so comfy - I have been wearing mine with burgundy tights and boots. Felt very put together for minimal effort :-)!
