I first heard of this guy and his amazing work through John Repetto and Craig Kenyon from The Eazy Company. It does my old heart good to know that hands-on American craftsmanship still exists!
Amazing work and good in ya for recording the process. I mess with upholstery as a hobby as well. A humble suggestion, from someone who does quite a bit of shaping foam myself, grab a cheap dual oscillating blade turkey carver. These things make very close rough shaped and really reduce time spent profile sanding. Keep up the great work and happy holidays!
Haha thanks!! Figure there are a few techniques people may be able to pick up on in the videos… I tried turkey carvers a couple times but they never lasted more than a couple seats… gott give the body saw a try soon… but the volume of seats I do made me stick to tried and true grinder lolz
A) What type of foam is that? B) What model sewing machine is that? C) What is the tubing you're putting on the pan edges? It looks stiffer that standard polyethylene tubing.

Awesome! Great to see someone sharing their way of upholstering a chopper seat. Not enough out there in this great of detail. Nice work!
Thanks! 👍
That’s one of the coolest looking seats I’ve seen. Master at work there.
Santo SEÑOR! Ese jinete y el caballo de acero también estarán desesperados por estrenar ese asiento tan ELEGANTE!!!
What foam material are you using

@Counter Balance Cycles fair enough..yknow a body saw and a fine tooth blade might be the ticket. Good talking with ya...hope the datsun survives! 😎👍

Looks like a regular exercise mat
Is that piece of leather between the sissy bar and back of the seat sewn in? This seat is amazing man
It’s sewn but not sewn on… just attached with upholstery cement
Stunning!
Thats beautiful. how is the leather fastened to the back of the pan and bottom of the pan? is it just glued?

Rad 620. I got one myself. And a xs650… sorta burnt up in shop fire recently by arson. Along with my shovel
Lo siento, ahora ya tienes quien reemplazará el tapizado de tu asiento de motocicleta.

This is amazing. If one has a seat pan made, would you be interested in completing the seat?
Yeah that’s what I do for my day job… shoot an email to counterbalancecycles@gmail.com and I can get one going for ya!
Great job
Thanks 🙏
Can that be mounted on a Softail?
Красивое сиденье,
Can you share the measurements? Can I at least know the dimensions of the part where the driver is sitting?
Хорошее сиденье,Из какого железа делал спинку чтобы непрогнулась?
Оно упирается в сисибар и крепится на нем, металл может быть и тонкий, я делал 1,2мм
Покажи как поставил сиденье на Мот.
