Thanks for the footage Martin - it gives us all an insight into what you and your brave colleagues are out there doing for us all. I've hiked along that firetrail enough times to know exactly where that spot is, sad to see this happen, but Namadgi will recover. Stay Safe!

I crewed Rivers 11 on that day back in 2003- was a slightly older truck and about to be replaced. Stay safe guys

Was in there chasing the tail end of it up Grassy Creek Firetrail on the 7th of February. Amazing how similar it looked 😮

Why didn't the helicopter personnel radio or phone in this fire they started when it was just a small grass fire? They waited 45 minutes to report it.

So sad you know. But what if you start to wet all rims of the road. Like wet the tree's and leaves on the bottom of em? Would it help stop the fire, not to cross the other side of the road?

Not really cause burning embers get carried on the wind which starts other spot fires

@@theangrydrunkenchef 😢.. what about drones. They use drones now for everything. In Europe they started to make some lane between the bush and brush/homes. Yeah cut down a good piece of bush. So the fire can not go further.

Hi Martin, quick question. What mount do you use for the GoPro? I’m looking at doing some POV filming myself. Cheers mate
