We’re dealing with the same thing right now. My husbands grandpa passed away last week but because of covid we weren’t allowed to be with him and we can’t have a funeral. It’s a very bizarre feeling almost like he isn’t really gone because you don’t get that closure.

Books like Circe! 1. The Witches Heart - norse mythology, so so good!! 2. Sky in the deep - about a badass viking woman 3. The Invisible Life of Addie Larue - this book split my soul open, cried so much and immediately re-read it.

Hoping Meryl has a speedy recovery! I tried the Glow screen after seeing no negative reviews on it....and I disliked it. It just made me look greasy. Goes to show you that the best review is when you try a product yourself.
Oooo Allana if you're on the greek mythology vibes read "The Secret History" by Donna Tartt. It's hefty but ohmaigod completely worth it. It's like mystery / thriller / coming of age / dark academia... there's a murder involved, cult-ish vibes. It's goooood.
Don’t blame yourself for biting your nails. It’s a coping mechanism we use during anxious times. And it will pass. ❤️ (My husband also removes all of the book jackets from his books and it drives me crazy. Now THAT’S an issue!🤣) The vet might be on to something about Meryl’s scratching being lockdown -related. My ginger kitty, Gabe, started licking all of the hair off of his belly around the time both of my grown daughters returned home to quarantine with us. Vet said it could be change - any change - because cats are uber-sensitive. So, the one thing that’s worked is CBD drops for cats. He loves them and he’s stopped the behavior! (But damn! He’s got the munchies!) 😽
I have been on the nail biting train off and on, and I really want to get my nails on track to a place where I can wear pretty nail polish and not feel self conscious about my hands. It's been a struggle but I do find that keeping my hands and cuticles moisturized makes me pick at my nails less. I chew them when I'm stressed and goodness knows Covid hasn't helped in that respect. I love the Vaseline hand and nail cream which I try to apply every night and I also love the Body Shop almond hand and nail cream. Stay well Allana and I love these types of videos!

My resolution is to read 2 books a month this year and am currently up to number 5. I've just started "Honeybee" by Craig Silvey and it's AMAZING! Even 30 pages in I was like yep this is a winner, at this point it might even be better than 7 Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, different vibe but so amazing already!

Do you use pill pockets to help Meryl take her pill?? They are so helpful!! My sister’s cat has to be on steroids (half a pill everyday) because if not she would just scratch her eye and face so much! She is on a specific diet the vet figures a food allergy or seasonal allergies so Meryl isn’t alone🥺
Omg the same thing happened to my cat!!! It wasn’t on her eye but it was on her belly and she would scratch it so much it would bleed and had no hair and the vet said she was allergic to chicken so we had to give her some steroids and changed her food and she was fine! Who knows if it was actually a chicken allergy but we’ve never fed her chicken again and the scratching never happened again 🤷🏼♀️
