    Sometimes the heat damage is worth the natural flawless look. Closures and wigs can look too “costume-y.” I love that natural sew ins are back in. Very polished and chic.

      As a professional I know A LOT about hair health and beauty…there’s a lot to be said about “heat damage” vs “heat compromised” everyone isnt trying to maintain their natural curl pattern some people are satisfied simply avoiding harsh chemicals so a little reduction in curl without chemical is not always negative, as long as your hair isn’t brittle breaking and non responsive to product and process!
      A beauty journey that make YOU feel beautiful is key 🔑

    I’d also recommend at night a good sealant!! Jamaican black castor oil or blue magic leave in conditioner lotion is a great combo… every night rub hands together and put it only on your leave out, wrap hair at night and in the morning leave out is flat and tamed without even having to touch it. Keeps ends super moisturized too. It may feel like you’re putting a lot of grease in your hair but the grease helps so much with making the leaveout stick to your weave and also remain flat and not frizzy!! With this you’ll be able to hot iron your hair only once a week and when you do the night time sealants your hair will remain super straight for at least a week.

    I agree that weaves are the most flattering. Realistic looks. I've tried them all. Lace wigs, head band wigs... but the weaves does a number on your natural hair. It was contant breakage trying to blend. Constant thinning. It's rough trying to figure out what works and make it work. Especially when your active. I understand your feelings towards wigs, I hate them as well. No matter how well they’re melted, I can tell it’s a wig; and I hate that I can tell it’s a wig. The only person able to make a wig look natural is Beyonce and none of us have Beyonce kind of money and resources. I’m natural, so to avoid heat damage for my leave outs, I use kinky straight hair. I barely ever flat iron my hair to blend it. Maybe use kinkier straight textures or go back to headband wigs for a bit to give your leave out a break. I know what it feels like to have my leave out break off and have to deal with short leave out, which is the WORST; So i can empathize! Due to recent damage, your hair is pretty fragile and will only get worse with constant heat; no matter how many conditioning products you use.

      I’d rather my damage hair show then wear lace right now to be honest😭

    I don’t get relaxers I go to Egyptians and my natural hair looks healthy and silky. To me relaxers make your hair dry, brittle and rough hair over time.

  • @Thelavishlylana
    @Thelavishlylana 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Im growing out my pixie for a sew in now. How many inches is your current sew in i love the length

    • @OctaviaB
      @OctaviaB  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      And initially when I got my extensions they were 22 inches long but since I’ve layered it I will say 14 , 16, 18 and 20.
      In next week‘s WV, you’ll be able to see what my hair looks like without the extensions to see how short my hair is

    I need my hair done. It cost approx $180 for my install and approx $150 per bundle for the hair I really need for blending. I need two bundles. The approx total for hair and install is $480 to $500.
