Cant help myself but to rewatch this. Given war is grizzly and depressing, most of these men on both sides are just men following orders. Whether they can justify it or not they are all humans fighting for what they think is right. All we can hope for is that the war ends and lives are spared.
I have always been fascinated by film (especially documentary) as a form of art or psychology. And sir I think this one of the most expressive 90 second videos I have ever seen. Keep it up eh
this war has turned way too many people into monsters. i personally dont support russia but there was a video released of russian soldiers being hit by their own mortars after ukrainian forces jammed their comms and it was fucking heartbreaking hearing them literally beg for mercy. the comments were full of "fucking russians, glad they're gone" and "good riddance, orcs" i fell for it too for a while. its frightening how quickly we all forget that the people on the other end of these videos are real living breathing people who have family waiting for them at home.

The over glorification of war has caused a lack of sensitivity towards the subject. You see it everywhere, on TV, on social media, in the newspaper. These men might no longer be with us, and many would think its cool that there are explosions going off, planes scouting above head, but forget about the feelings of paranoia, regret, loss, sorrow, and pain these men face daily in a war they didn't want to even be apart of. For a country that cares nothing about them.
