My wife was so successful as a 6-8 math teacher because she taught her students how to learn math, not bust how to pass the next test.

I'm a proud '83 MIT graduate. MIT had a great positive impact in my career and life. However, the amount of shame I feel after watching the deposition of MIT's President is tremendous. A person like that can not be the voice of the institution. And the Board of Trustees need to take swift action to ensure that what we heard does not represent an expression the Institution values. I am a firm believer in Freedom of Speech. Colleges ought to respect that. These schools do have a right to reduce speech. They are private institutions. But they ought to respect freedom of speech as a matter of academic freedom. But if they are going to have speech codes, you MUST be consistent. You can’t protect some groups but not other groups. They all were very vocal that Black Lives Matter, but when students on campus are actively harassing Jewish students, they were silent. You either stand for freedom of speech or be consistent with your policies
