- Having made the mistake of not doing thorough research into Solar Netting focusing instead and understandably on the panels themselves, I paid the price!
Retro fitting is a bit of a task and more expensive by far.

Had solar panels installed last year and wasn't offered this. I am now doing it next week myself as the mess and the cooing is driving me mad. Advise everyone to get this done during installation. Good advice on your video.

An important video. When I had my 5.2kWp array fitted I ended up going for integrated panels for exactly this reason. Putting netting on was quoted at £4-500. Removing the tiles and integrating them into the roof cost about £1000, so it was a no-brainer. No pigeons and it looks much nicer.
Wish I was offered this when I had my panels fitted to 3 floor town house! No issue for 3 years - but this year a totally different story! Time to get quotes ….
Yep, had our panels installed last year. This summer the pigeons have been driving me mental. Missus thought I’d lost it when I was banging on the inside of the loft with golf clubs, trying the kids super soaker before resorting to the pressure washer to try and reach up 25+ ft. Hindsight eh!?

They should have used Bird Go clips instead of screwing into the frame on the panels. This can void that warranty on your panels so just be weary of this.

I’m watching this and cringing to see the finished version, they have secured it by screwing hex head screws directly into the side of your solar panels, this voids your warranty straight away 😮, I’ve been proofing solar panels for years and this is a big no no, I hope you don’t have any issues with the panels or you could be in trouble
