We visit Torquay in Devon to have a look around the town and walk along the promenade to see what's here and why you should holiday in Torquay.
I love Torquay. It's an English hoilday destination with traditional tourist attractions and lovely beaches, and of course the fantastic Torquay Marina is home to some really grand boats and yachts and even jetski's!
We start this walking tour on Torquay Beach where the tide is out and someone has created some beach art which looks great. We then head up onto Torbay Road and the South West Coastal Path which takes us round past Royal Terrace Gardens (Rock Walk) and along to Pier Point restaurant and bar and the Princess Theatre.
From there we head onto the English Riviera Wheel which is situated in Princess Gardens and overlooking Torquay Marina.
We continue along Princess Parade and across Torquay Marina Bridge to take a look at Beacon Quay and Torquay Harbour Dock which was the embarkation point for the D-Day boats.
Next up we walk along Victoria Parade past Torquay Crime Museum and the inner dock of Torquay Harbour until we reach the Clock Tower that sits between Strand, Torwood Street and Victoria Parade.
From there our walking tour continues to English Riviera Visitor Information Centre on Vaughan Parade, close to the Agatha Christie statue.
Torquay is a fantastic place for a holiday. You can have a full holiday here or a weekend break and whatever you choose to do you'll have a great holiday here in Devon. You could even take the ferry across to Brixham too which is definitely recommended!
If you want a great time, a lovely peaceful relaxing happy holiday then I'd definitely recommend Torquay, Devon.
