When I get back to Scorched Earth, I plan to build my base on the east side of the valley around the Red Obelisk. There's a cave -- more of a tunnel than a cave -- at the base of the mountain there -- that's filled with sulfur, crystal, metal, and rock nodes. By far the best resource hotspot I have found or seen on any map.
GRATS ON 30K SUBS PHLINGER !! Love that you got yourself a Tek Raptor. I got myself one about a month ago lower lvl, I think he was lvl 90 or something. I called him " Chance " . I have never seen one before on the Island

Hi phlinger amazing videos as always but i wanted to tell you that I never seen you searching for ovis in the snow area on the island I always find 2 or 3 there and you will find another moosh pit there its at where the river meet the sea

question for ya Phlinger....if you had a really good male 145 with good HP and Atk, and after 6+ hours of looking and farming a female, would you take a 125? Thats where I'm at and will take it, but don't know if I should keep looking. Edit: she ended up with 320% melee, so I think I'll stick w/ her as my original breeder.
I have a technology question: I just bought a Geforce RTX 2060, but now my game crashes within a minute or so. A friend suggested I revert my GeForce driver to ver. 317.xx, rather than use the current 340.xx driver. Ideas?

Erik Lonski Ill help you out, with the thyla you could get it to follow you into a trap that has a ramp leading into it and the thyla will drop into it and make sure you have a doorway to exit the trap and booom
Why do i never find high level dinos on scorched, aberration and THe Island? I have my difficulty set to max, but i only get high level dinos on Ragnarok,The Centre and Crystal ISles
It's a common spawn thing, there are mods to fix it, but the core games except extinction tend to spawn a fair amount Bellow max level. I generally start on Ragnarok for collecting my core tames and move to the island or other maps as I need. Just my personal preference.
They do spawn. They're just rarer in the core game DLCs than on the modded maps. Best thing to do is keep killing them so they respawn faster. And max level is not always best either. My daughter recently tamed a 120 rex in her solo PS4 game with 9400 health. Her level 150s had 7 and 7.5 k health respectively. My rex with high health came off a 145 rex, but my 489 melee damage came off a 125 rex. In the month I spent farming rexs to breed an army, I tamed perhaps 3 level 150s and kept only one for 1900 something stamina.. because I got tired of looking for better. All combined, the stats for my army parents before mutations came off 235 rexs. And they have few points wasted in oxygen too, that stat is just over 500. That's the beauty of being able to breed selectively for stats, though. You get some good stats off less than max levels, breed for stats until you get the combination you want, and then raise those stats through imprinting bonuses if they aren't breeders. You can even tame low level event dinos and breed them with the high level ones just for color. Tamed up a level 66 Valentine's thylacoleo and a level 57 easter thylacoleo as well as a 150 normal thylacoleo with better health than my previous thylas while looking for the pesky colors. Now those event colors are being sported on a bred 225 thyla who has high health, stamina and melee. He's missing the high oxygen and food stats of the 247 parents... but I don't care much about those.
Quick Question does any one have any tips on killing a level 45 alpha rex at the mosh pit when your level 65 that almost killed your Anky raptor and Pteranodon? Just wondering no reason at all.
@@thecombativemedic521 it does depend on the dinosaur as well. some require fish meat, or entire fish. some like rotten meat. thylacoleos need cooked mutton i think. if you're not sure, it's probably best to look it up.
I'm about to say this game can suck it. I lost my 2nd 150 super Dodo because it took me back 20 minutes right before I reached my base with the highest level hyenadon I found and my first tamed over Raptors and undid my group settings so it won't follow me. I'm gonna try grappling hook off a pteronadon to get on it... before I got off I purposely kept the game on for 30 minutes saving crafting stuff and whatever just to lose everything. The same as the first time. Can they fix these issues?
Why are all my taming groups gone? I was able to save the hyenadon but my argent is just flying in one spot and I can't get the grappling hook to register and I can't jump on it.
@@sharkforce8147 after I think 17 fails I parashooted on it. I love this game but if I put time and effort to make sure I save at the base just to have all the saves undone and falling out the air again then I'm done. Can't even play with a friend either. Gotta have others getting in the way. I love it but there's so many things that needs fixed.

I know I'm late, but I got a question : isn't the max wild level 150 ? If not, how do you do to have 174 wild dinos ? It will help me a lot!
If you're playing on a single server, the max level for dinos is a 150.
Regular Dinos are wild max 150 with his settings, but Tek Dinos are wild max 180.

Personally I consider everything over a hundred to be fair game. I’ve tamed 110s better than 150s

maybe you can build a trap, like make a Rex taming Trap but wider and taller so the Alpha will get stuck, and make it stone or metal
Just get an argentavis its super easy to kill rexes with it

Thylas aren’t allowed into the boss arenas. You will teleport but the Thylas will stay behind on the platform.

What the next best thing to kibble for carnivores?
Kibble (can be a perfect time) > Mutton (generally -1 or 2 levels) > prime meat (-1 to 4 levels roughly sometimes more)

@@CAM-je7kw if you use a spyglass you can target whistle something iirc. seems it'd be worth a shot anyways.
