Basically, the storm rocking the ship represents the tension and struggle of the singer trying to keep up an act to keep his partner happy, but his strength to do so was slowly chipping away until it was revealed. The animation shows his constant struggle to maintain the lie even after it is known while accepting that she can leave now that she knows the truth of who he is, but the end scene from my understanding represents his partner accepting his flaws and her willingness to keep working on their relationship regardless. Despite him pushing her away for her to be happy, her getting in a new boat after the ship sinks and jumping back in the water near the end shows his partner's determination to keep going back to him, the sea monster representing his inner demons that he was trying to keep hidden away. That's just my interpretation at least

This song is so intoxicating, whenever I hear it, I have to listen to it all the way through. It gives this feeling of overwhelming sadness and comfort at the same time. Brilliant minds behind this💕
I had the opportunity to see this band in Bratislava this year, actually, a couple of weeks ago. And they didn´t only touch my heart, but they did touch my whole soul. I can´t imagine what they are going through, but from the speech Dan had, I see that it´s not always that smooth as one can think. I fell in love with Dan as he mentioned the therapy, because I myself had and sometimes still have troubles just living my life. My biggest wish is for the whole band to be happy and smilling and loved. I love you all guys, literally. You make my days more manageable.
Same..I saw them in Croatia. My son has a chronic illness that has taken quite of his childhood away and just listening to Dan normalise needing help meant a lot to him.

People who are hiding their problems from everyone and just saying that theyre fine when deep inside theyve been hurting so much and not okay. And instead of dealing with it, they succumb to that demon to just take their life away cuz they think no ones gonma understand them?? This is a very good song. ID forever ❤️
I have sympathy for those people that take their lives but I always think that they were coward ones. They always think that they were the only person experiencing things but some people may have worse situation than them. They lack of faith and much more on overthinking.

Right before the year ended my dog got bone cancer and I lost a friend, and I argued a lot because I was playing a game that made me aggressive towards people and toxic. So I cut that, my friend tormented me by saying I’m not as good as him so I left him but all my friends are friends with him so I hear his name and things about him every day. But this year is shaping out to be good, my dog doesn’t have bone cancer anymore, I’m not hearing about that dude anymore, and I was able to get better with my social anxiety. I’m sorry that 2018 was a bad year for you I hope things this year for you are good like it is for me. I wish you the best of luck.
