Happy new year to all the people that watch my videos. Happy new year to the people that don't watch them too though.
Sometimes I actually wonder why I like this class... It's cool visually but can be extremely frustrating. Long drawn out burst that makes it hard to coordinate it effectively in party play, massive amounts of button mashing, weird input buffering on that sometimes kills you... Going to be happy when it's liberated in March and I get a nice power spike. At the very least it's a strong class in GMS.
In a bit of a slump with this class. I'd like to make it a bit stronger and push some of my items to 22* but I have so many lib projects already. It's all very expensive. Going to need to reevaluate how I spend my mesos on my characters.
For the educational segment and if you're wondering why my burst is so awkward:
Aran Origin attacks make you float: I hit the Origin pop because I didn't want to die to the sword and lose Freud's. Completely forgot I could just keep attacking him in the air for more combo count and a stronger Origin.
Right before I phase to p2: He's at ~33% HP. 3% is a fair bit less than my previous attempt but enough that just randomly attacking takes too long to feel comfortable. Previous run I think it was more like 8% so I probably should've just attacked regularly.
p2: If I didn't use adrenaline, I could have maybe bursted at the start. I like to look for Damien going up to drag the balls to the right. You see him teleport back to the middle and the ball immediately after. The problem regardless: If I bursted here, I would've had to wait for like 30 - 60 seconds to burst again because my Origin would have been back up but I'm waiting on tempest. Feels like a waste when I know I could nuke him if I just waited for my Origin.

I play on the same server and I chose Ice Lightning mage as my main because lightning cool. I just started when the explorers got changed last year and recently came back for the Identisk event. Same idea for me. My class looks cool but is so frustrating to boss with because you have to stand still alot and also my only bind locks my actions until its done/I let go of key.

I felt that. I used to duo everything with an I/L and if we didn't wallbang a boss for maximum damage on frozen orb it was such a big difference. The love for the class is definitely there but sometimes the frustrations get the best of me. Hopefully you can keep on enjoying your class the same ways I usually do too!
