Really interesting video. We’ve just ordered our first Motorhome from Highbridge, very excited. Hubby fed up with towing and all the setting up for the caravan. I’m really encouraged by the fact you manage to park and do your shopping etc. our Mhome is just under 7 mts so shouldn’t be too bad 🤞. Any tips welcome
How exciting! 😃 We do have a couple of 'tips' videos, (have a scroll n a cuppa 😉) especially the Ikea one but they are just our thoughts and maybe of some use. But yes, if we can help please feel free to ask and if our fairly limited knowledge can help, we certainly will 👍 Thanks so much for the comment 😃
We have a 12v compressor fridge in our Dreamer living Van so no gas. Have 400watts of solar and a 150ah lithium battery and I leave the fridge on constantly. It’s been on since we bought the camper in June and battery even at this time of the year is never below 75%. Worth getting one maybe 👍🏼👌🏽
Hi, I’m the guy who spoke to you at the show having met and chatted in Highbridge when you were considering this current camper. Loved this video as I do all your videos and thanks for the mention! Hope you sorted your Solar out after! Take care both! (Ian & Carol)
Thanks 👍😊 It was good to see you again and have a quick chat. Thanks for the advice and encouragement. Hopefully see you again 👍😀 All the best in the meantime.
Thank you for, sharing about your hearing aid. I wear 2 and grown my hair longer to hide them. Because of stigma and being conscious about them. I love watching your videos including this one (not sure I could do without a fridge (I have coeliac disease) so eating out is difficult for me, so a fridge is a vital part of my Motorhome living. Keep up the great work.
Oh, thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it, and sorry that some people can make you feel self conscious in that way. The fridge, is still not in use, but I don't think it would suit everyone, you make that point better than anyone. Thanks again for the encouragement, it's really appreciated 🙃👍👍
I raise a glass to your dear old leg matey. Well done for exploring life without a fridge. I love experimenting. It will save a ton of gas and as you say for very little pain. 👍
Thank you🦵, gone but not forgotten 😁 The fridge experiment (some weeks on now) is still working out, and has not been turned back on. I've meant to ask... What happened with the vinegar experiment? Glad all's going well with your health, great to see 👍👍 Cheers for the comment 😊
Looked a great place to park in Bath. Look forward to hearing how the no fridge goes longer term. I am supposed to wear hearing aids but mine are uncomfortable and make things too loud 😢. Take care Gill
Hi, thanks for the comment. It really is a handy spot to be located in Bath. We will certainly keep you posted about the fridge experiment 'so far, so good' That's exactly the problem I had with my old hearing aid, really uncomfortable behind the ear and also with the dome thing in the ear, so I ended up, like you, not using them and instead shouting 'WHAT DID YOU SAY!?' a lot. But the new 'in ear' type, for me anyway, is excellent. I cannot feel it there at all and therefore wear it all the time. Push for those if you can 👍👍 All the best 😊👍
Hi guys, great video ❤ Just a thought as Will said he likes a cup of tea, re milk & fridge experiment Milk powder, most supermarkets sell it, if your lucky theres an own brand though ive not found one, but can just add a spoonful to the tea or reconstitute some for daily use... 😊 x
Great comment and idea, thank you! I'd forgotten about powdered/dried milk. I had that in my coffee and Tea for years. Totally forgot about it, thank you for the mental nudge. I'll look into it 👍👍
I am living in Burma with only one solar panel and live without a fridge since 9 years. Buying fresh works well and most things you can keep for at least 24 hours.
Wow, thank you for commenting from Burma. I believe you have the award for our furthest distance viewer! 😃 We totally agree and if it works for you, it should be very easy for us in a colder climate. Thanks again, goid to have you with us 😀❤️
Very true Dan 👍 Much better for you than butter as all the gremlins have been removed by the clarifying process, which is also why it doesn't need a fridge. No lactose left in it to go rancid... Or summit. 😃
We use a 12v cool box, when not plugged in a bottle of frozen water keeps all cold for 24 hours, was thinking about doing a video on it, isn't ghee what caused some major blockages in London drains
I buy lurpak blocks of butter not spreads and never put it in thowridge also i dont refrigeratoe sauces i buy filtered milk which lasts longer than normal milk ... we've been fulltime for over 5 yrs now ....how did we survive without a fridge lol
Excellent comment/tip, thank you. We're slowly realising these things, butter is one. I hadn't thought of the filtered milk thing, but will give it a go👍 Although, I've pretty much weaned (😄) myself off if milk now. As it gets colder though, porridge will be the test 😉. 5 years, congratulations that's great, we are just 6 month but are loving it. Thanks again. 👍👍

@@gonkandmoody we didn’t rate the vinegar much. We have changed to Solbio for this trip and it is working well so far 🙂👍
@LifeistooshortCK interesting, thank you. Solbio's on our list 👍

Fyi just looked at ghee and i realise you're probably using all of it.but it says refrigerate after opening :(
Hi, thanks for the comment 😊 There does seem to be conflicting information out there, as with everything! 😁
Ghee is a wonderful product, great for cooking with also especially Indian food.
Very true Dan 👍 Much better for you than butter as all the gremlins have been removed by the clarifying process, which is also why it doesn't need a fridge. No lactose left in it to go rancid... Or summit. 😃

That's a good idea! 😁 We've decided we don't need ghee in our lives after trying it out so definitely won't be contributing to any blockages! 😁👍
