Hey Dr. Amanda, I've been studying from all your videos for a while and just wanted to say thank you so much for everything. I passed my PTCB exam 2 days ago 🙏🏽💙
Simple way (kind of) to remember O for eye, O = Optic like optical/optician you go to them for your eyes. A for ear, A= Audio like Audiobooks is something you listen to D for right is Derecha in Spanish, U for both I use Universal so I remember it's both. I haven't found anything for S for left but I'm working on it lol
Amanda I want to say thank for all the videos.. I took my exam this morning and passed!! Too all those who are studying you will pass keep at it! You got this❤❤🎉🎉
I love this. Thank you so much. I took a pharmacy technician class before, but due to life circumstances, I didn't take the exam, and I was told to retake the class again, so this is so great for me.
Amanda, your content and presentation is just amazing and spot on! Although, I'm CPht, It's important to stay current and always will need the refresher courses, and I am so thankful that I came across your youtube channel! After reviewing other channels, I found yours to be the most encouraging, informative and teachable, while your presences is at a teachable pace and not so hurried, which allows us viewers to grasp what you are teaching, as this is highly paramount when studying the content presented! Just subscribed to your channel and thank you! 💯💛💛💛

Thank you so much for doing these videos! I am a pharmacy tech apprentice studying to try & pass the certification test. Could you maybe do videos by categories with name & what they do/what they're for - Like BP meds, Psych meds, Birth control Meds, Insulin/pens, etc? (please & thank you)
She actually did a video on the top 200 drugs breaking them down into their different categories! I think it's called top 200 drugs lecture or something of that nature
@@hmdoug98I have seen sthat, I was referring to by just specific categories so those of us trying to memorize meds can do so one category at time, like say a video on just psych meds or just birth control meds.
I just found this video and i am loving it.I am struggling with the PTCB exam and i am not sure what i am lacking in my studies.I have taking the exam so many times but can't pass it.I study so well and master the materials, but when i get off the exam room i always get a fail;what am i doing wrong? I need answers please. I knew almost 180 drugs brand and generic but got just 10 in the last exam.I still can't figure out what my weakness are.Can someone help me,thank you.
I’m currently studying so maybe I can help there is a lot more hospital questions on the test then retail you need to know hospital and retail math meaning insurance cost with net and gross and retail/ hospital profit from each medication. It’s good to know the top 200 drugs with generic/brand and which classification each drug is (antibiotic, ssris, nsaid, DEA schedule controlled, etc.) you also need to know the pharmacy laws for retail and hospital and medication sigs which is abbreviations for words while entering a medication into the systems you should also study vaccinations, fridge placements, drug interactions (which drugs help each other and what drugs cause negative interactions they have different terms) but I would say the math is probably one you need to study the most I hope this helps
There is also online ptcb test you can take (some free some paid up to you I recommend the free ones) you can take these and they will give you help in which to study more on there is also online study guides for the ptcb make sure when you look these up you’re using the 2022-2023 guides
Because not everyone speaks the same language, depending on the patients preferred language the system will auto generate the directions into the preferred language.

Do they have cheat sheets in the pharmacy? There is no way anyone can remember this.
Right
I got 17 out of 25 😢
Thankyou so much
😂 left handed are strong
why dont they just type the long hand on to the labels lol this s more confusing than it needs to be
Or make some meaningful abbreviations that stand for the exact words 😢
Because not everyone speaks the same language, depending on the patients preferred language the system will auto generate the directions into the preferred language.
no im a pharm tech and its just stupid i could type this out quicker than the abbr
