And Launchpad's signature on said driver's license is the same one you would get from the Launchpad walkaround character in the Disney theme parks, if you had a character autograph book that they would sell.
"Oh, I've seen this bitch before!" XD XD XD That's so funny. Darkwing Duck is voiced here by his original actor Jim Cummings, who is one of the most prolific modern voice actors. He's played Winnie the Pooh and Tigger since 1988 and covered quite a bit of the singing for "Be Prepared" in The Lion King and "In the Dark of the Night" in Anastasia, among so many others.
Darkwing Duck was a character from a 90s shows that aired around the same time with the original Ducktales. Launchpad was DW's sidekick in that show. The villains he fights are classic villains from his show: Megavolt, Bud Flood and Quackerjack.
8:10 Manny is actually one of the most important characters in the show. After travelling to the top of a skyscraper (and breaking an ancient curse by being above the clouds) he regains his lost head and plays a pivotal role in defeating Scrooge's greatest nemesis. He even gains a team of other living statues that act as nocturnal protectors of the city.
For additional bit of meta context: Launchpad is one of the main characters of the Darkwing Duck cartoon from the 90s so in Ducktales 2017 he's a total fanboy of the in-universe Darkwing Duck TV Show.
Gyro's new intern is named Fenton Crackshell Cabrera, better known as Gizmoduck and he is voiced by THE Lin Manuel Miranda. I actually like the redesign more than the original. In the 90s Ducktales show, he was pretty much Donald with a normal voice and a superhero persona.
The thing with Launchpad, at least in the original 1988 Ducktales series, is that he was actually a very good pilot (he did come from a family of air circus performers, the Flying McQuacks, after all), it was just landings that he had a problem with. The reboot just Flanderized him from "always crashes when landing" to "always crashes". It's cute that they made him a huge Darkwing Duck fan, since he was DW's sidekick in the actual show.
I love Darkwing so much glad he got a cameo in the show. The water doggy name is Bud Flood, the electric rat is megavolt and the scary clown is quakerjack all villains from DW. Bud is my fav out of the villains because he's so silly and speaks in the after these messages voice.
In order for a sound ran train to work it would need to be soundproofed on the inside because there is no way for every single person to be quiet at a specific point and the lack of access for kids and people with disabilities that can’t control when/if noises come out of them could prove problematic for its success Also Launchpad IS pretty safe considering he’s never gotten anyone hurt when he crashes which is more than what you can say for literally anyone
🎵Daring duck of mystery, champion of right! Swoops out of the shadows, Darkwing owns the night!🎵 I loved Darkwing Duck. Launchpad was in that show, too.
Considering they start putting out the Christmas scrap in October (some places September), I wouldn’t mind seeing Halloween stuff until Thanksgiving. Only robots I will accept, both fictional and in real life, are Autobots (Soundwave too but only the Frank Welker voiced version).
But also... NO. A sound-powered train would NOT work for so many reasons. What about thunderstorms? Cars backfiring? Dogs barking? Gyro's curse is that a lot of his inventions are really not practical in a real-world setting (which is exactly why so many of his inventions turn evil).
If you find Mark Beaks to be an insufferable dipshit, that means his writers did a good job. There are some characters you're meant to hate with every fiber of your being, Mark Beaks is one of them.
I actually really enjoy Mark Beaks as a villain because of this. Love to hate him and love him as a commentary on several real life insufferable dipshits.
A few interesting little facts. Launchpads birthday on his drivers license is actually the date of the first episode of the original DuckTales airing. Also, one of the possible reasons why he was made such a fan of Darkwing duck, is because in the original show Darkwing duck launchpad was actually in it as Darkwing duck sidekick. Interestingly, enough, even though his personality was more or less the same he was no longer accident prone when it came to using planes in the show.
Someone who goes on as many dangerous adventures as Scrooge does either needs a ridiculously perfect pilot who can navigate deadly situations without crashing, or he needs someone who crashes often but somehow never gets anyone killed. One of those is less expensive than the other...
Fenton my beloved. Edit: 9:24 Well, you shouldn’t really drive a Cybertruck, anyways. More often than not, they just tear themselves apart, cut people with jagged-edged panels, and even just explode. They’re barely able to be called vehicles.
I was so excited by the design. I know a lot of people disliked it, but the 80’s sci-fi tank was everything I ever wanted. And then it turned out to be crud. One good thing about not having money to spend couldn’t waste money on a pre order.
I know it was addressed in the reaction but I always find it funny how Morgan compares Mark Beaks to Elon Musk when he's supposed to be a parody of Mark Zuckerberg. Though they're both big, out of touch tech CEOs with bad ideas so I guess it still fits.
You don't have to apologize Halloweeb because Halloween is forever! Ducktales 2017 reboot Beware the BUDDY System episode was so good defienitily I loved to see Darkwing Duck one of the most legendary Ducktales characters it's like Ducktale's version of Batman: Let's get dangerous! And that episode was so good I loved the story how Gizmoduck were borned and I still remember why the system got angry Scrooge said: "it's just a stupid robot" and that's it so never say robots are stupid: GIZMODUCK is the best hero! ❤
Love Darkwing Duck cameo looking forward reaction when you see Negaduck who is leader of fearsome five best villain ever also I’m in vacation while watching your content oh if you might want to see Duck Dodgers that’s also a looney tunes spin off
I quite enjoy this version of Gyro, even though he was kinda a controversial rebooted character when the show first came out. In the original show, he was a kind and eccentric scientist, but his inventions had a tendency to turn evil. In the reboot he is a lot more arrogant and antisocial, but it's clear that he isn't evil, even if his inventions sometimes turn out that way. And you could certainly make the argument that if they'd kept him closer to the original, he'd be very similar to Fenton, so it's probably for the best that they tried something new with him.
Halloween and Christmas are ONE now, at least two generations have grown up now with seeing the decorations on store shelves at the same time...granted they have them out for half the year now *not an exaggeration, Halloween decorations show up on store shelves first week of July, especially for the stores that don't have to put out back to school to get a jump on them...there is this whole marketing reason related to projected consumer incomes and big ticket items and estimated average other holiday expenses...so Christmas big ticket items and the jump aheads end up going out in October, which pushes back the projections for Halloween and...they then overlap and take up half the year*....anyway, its a point now that you go into Walmart one week and you see Jack Skeleton on a shelf in his black suit, a week later that same spot, he's still there but now wearing a santa costume.
If you haven't watched Disney movies involving the main trio, then i highly recommend The Goofy Movie duology! Those movies are highly beloved and very much an eternal part of cultural zeitgeist. It would for sure be a excellent and successful reaction!
[Mod] Hey everyone! Remember to keep the comments free of any spoilers of future episodes for Morgan. Have fun & be creative with fake spoilers! Also, make sure we’re keeping the comments cool & comfortable for everyone here. Enjoy the reaction y’all!!!
Mark Beaks is now showing how evil and jealous he can be when someone or something can have more media attention than him and Gizmoduck is a menace to his Internet popularity.
Don’t know if you’ll read this, but if you want to, you can cut out his face and put on your punching bag thing you won’t need it for a bit of a while, but yeah, also the one who you really should get is Magica. You are going to want to punch her hard doing the end of the season
Hey Morgan! Could you react to Welcome to hell? It’s an indie serie that just has two eps, it has some hellish stuff and there’s a very explicit gay main couple so I though you may like it
6:57. Interesting fact, if you look closely at Launchpad's driver's license, his birthday is the same date the original Ducktales show aired.
And Launchpad's signature on said driver's license is the same one you would get from the Launchpad walkaround character in the Disney theme parks, if you had a character autograph book that they would sell.
Never apologize for extended Halloween decorations, spoopy is always appreciated
I really wish the “spooky” time of the year was extended into at least mid-November.
No one really cares about Thanksgiving anyways.😂
@felwalkr_94 I'm fine with them for Christmas time too, for the ol' Jack and Sally vibes
You should absolutely take down your Halloween decorations promptly in August, in time to put up all new Halloween decorations...

I thought Bud Flood was his real name and The Liquidator was his villain name?
@boiledcrap I didn't know how to spell "Liquidator". Also, I always thought Bud Flood was a better name for him.
I am the terror you flap in the night, i am the five mile hike in the middle of summer, i am, darkwing Duck!
8:10 Manny is actually one of the most important characters in the show. Plus the fact we already have a superhero Donald (Paperinik/Duck Avenger), so the old version was even more of a Donald Duck clone
@@chemicalwolfgames3405 I think I know what you are talking about. In the European comics, Donald does have a superhero persona called Phantom Duck.
The thing with Launchpad, at least in the original 1988 Ducktales series, is that he was actually a very good pilot (he did come from a family of air circus performers, the Flying McQuacks, after all), it was just landings that he had a problem with. 4:25 Something I noticed. He said it was sent STRAIGHT TO Scrooge, which means at this time he STILL wasn't driving with one.
I love Darkwing so much glad he got a cameo in the show. The water doggy name is Bud Flood, the electric rat is megavolt and the scary clown is quakerjack all villains from DW. Bud is my fav out of the villains because he's so silly and speaks in the after these messages voice.
Ah, yes, the headless man horse of the apocalypse. He just wants to be a normal guy.
Blathering Blatherskite it's time for our Gizmo Duck
In order for a sound ran train to work it would need to be soundproofed on the inside because there is no way for every single person to be quiet at a specific point and the lack of access for kids and people with disabilities that can’t control when/if noises come out of them could prove problematic for its success

Glad you like Gyro, he's one of my favs. He cracks me up everytime.
Darkwing Duck is Disney Batman parody
🎵Daring duck of mystery, champion of right! Swoops out of the shadows, Darkwing owns the night!🎵
I loved Darkwing Duck. Launchpad was in that show, too.
It's DARKWING Duck!
Considering they start putting out the Christmas scrap in October (some places September), I wouldn’t mind seeing Halloween stuff until Thanksgiving.

2:33 The Shadow. He looks like The Shadow (starring Alec Baldwin, based on the 1930s comic books)
Who knows what stupidity looks in the hearts of man?
The Shadow Knows!
But also... NO. A sound-powered train would NOT work for so many reasons. What about thunderstorms? Cars backfiring? Dogs barking? Gyro's curse is that a lot of his inventions are really not practical in a real-world setting (which is exactly why so many of his inventions turn evil).

1:22 Darkwing Duck Villains. I’ve never seen Darkwing Duck. 6:57 His Birthdate is a Reference to when the original DuckTales came out.
4:05 From a native spanish speaker: you said it perfectly 👏👏👏
Aye first time for everything I suppose! 🤣

Love your reactions

Fun fact: fenton is voiced by lin manuel Miranda, the guy responsible for Hamilton.

That Shego shirt is awesome haha
Darkwing Duck was a real thing around the same time as the original ducktales, it was hella fun but very obscure now
Nah Darkwing is only a fictional character in this version of the show
FENTON IM SO GLAD YOU GOT TO HIM HES MY FAVORITE
2:11. In a way, that billboard comes back in a later episode.
Mark Beaks: Gizmoduck....I must have him
Me: Piss off!

❗You need you need to know! 🌟 the VOICE ACTOR for FENTON is LIN MANUEL MIRANDA 😂 The crator of Hamilton! Please see this 😭
6:30 oh, and adults are GREAT at being quiet.
The parts where Darkwing Duck's head were being replaced with Charles Darwin's head got me cackling.
Tubby is an editing genius lol

how did Launchpad get his license: Scrooge McDuck is his boss
The Dime Chase established that Scrooge likes hiring unhinged lunatics, case in point Quackfaster and Gyro.
I love Lauchpad
Loved the reaction, as always!
Also love the shego shirt!
8:08 = Manny's actually a pretty important character in the story later on, just wait and see

Hey morgan, thanks for reacting. Hang in there.
The fact that this episode came out this week makes me sad if you know you know
Most likely that was the original test track. You wouldn’t use untested tech on a busy street.
Halloween is forever
Fenton is Lin Manuel Miranda.
One minute and im here wtf
Mark Beaks is now showing how evil and jealous he can be when someone or something can have more media attention than him and Gizmoduck is a menace to his Internet popularity.
9:20 Wait, he is somewhat original at stealing ideas. If he only he would help to make someone's ideas steal-proof...
NOT THAT BEING AN AO3 SHIP
0:55 Like The Jersey Devil?
Don’t know if you’ll read this, but if you want to, you can cut out his face and put on your punching bag thing you won’t need it for a bit of a while, but yeah, also the one who you really should get is Magica. You are going to want to punch her hard doing the end of the season
hey Morgan i got a question why are your hazbin hotel vids gone
2:12. Foreshadowing.
22
Hey Morgan! Could you react to Welcome to hell? It’s an indie serie that just has two eps, it has some hellish stuff and there’s a very explicit gay main couple so I though you may like it
I don't know if you've explained this in another video or on socials or something, but where did the Hazbin Hotel reactions go?
Yep. He's a mix of Musk and Zuckerberg...not nearly as evil though.
How am I here
Mark always steals ideas from other people to make money.
You can apologize to me all you want and I will say it’s your channel nothing I could do about it
