Hey mate - there is a simple rule, you pay for what you get, and the reality is that there is a reason why some kayaks are thousands of dollars and some are hundreds of dollars. Chinese made kayaks, like Dragons, K2F yaks and many others float, and have the advantage of being cheap allowing you to get on the water economically, but that's about it in reality. Scuff marks on the plastic are common though on all plastic yaks, however if they are made of durable polyethylene then it is easily fixed, the build quality was disgraceful, as you surmised, probably lucky you were dealing with a major retailer, I know of other situations that did not end well for the consumer dealing with less creditable retailers. A shame that your experience was a bad one, doing your homework first is the best advice, and to your credit that's what you are trying to help others with. Keep up the vid's, and its great that you are honest - not enough of that on the Tube.
Hey mate thanks heaps for that dude means a lot 😊 it’s what I wanted this channel to be. Keep an eye out for up an coming new videos an especially one from a purchase that I thought I’d never actually do 😂 Have a good one 🤙
I had the same kayak , patches are fine , every kayak has that, but its not a very stable kayak like some more expensive ones, I decided to sell and buy a used hobie outback instead , man hobie outback is different beast , very stable.
lot of quality chinese ones around just need to do your homework in vic if its under 40 lb electric you don't need a boat licence and no rego , had the tiny motor let my licence laps more than 5 years ,got sick of turning up in big lines at boat ramps , just so handy can put them in anyplace.the new centre mounted trolling motor kayaks are getting pretty good but ya looking at 2 grand .
Each to there own, won't get fit by making excuses, or eating chocolate. A second hand Hobie is still 2 grand, and for that you can get a tinnie so you won't hafto paddle.
@@BIGJEZAUS if you don't understand how kayaks are made, they how do you know what the build quality is like. I've never had any issues with Dragon Kayaks or any other Kayaks I've owned
You need out riggers bezt way 👌
I just ended up buying a tinny more room can take extra junk an don’t feel like I’m going to fall out lol
This kayak looks like from 4wd supacenter.
They are very similar I think they copied but made it shorter as the one in the vid was 3mtrs or something buy memory
Thanks I'm looking for a new kayak I will be keeping a eye out for problems like this. Don't want to waste money on junk either.
All good dude that’s why I did this video as I definitely wasn’t happy with it.

So you didn't even get it wet, seems like any excuse not to use it was your preferred method. Poor form mate.
No not at all if I’m spending that kind of money I expect quality for my money not something that’s been patched or fixed up.

Obviously not a kayak expert
Dont need to be an expert when I’m not happy with the quality of something im spending good coin on.
