It's not up to the landlord. The landlord can being it up and likely has, immediately, but the legal system ultimately decides who and when they get evicted. Incorrect. Any landlord doesn’t just not let a tennant pay for 3 years. Some tenants will so anything, it isn’t just a case of starting the legal process after 2 months.
Not as easy as that. I’m a landlord and it took me 2 years to get non rent paying tenants out. The tenants kept missing court dates for bs reasons so the dates kept getting put back 6-8 months. Eventually the judge said there would be a warrant put out for their arrest if they didn’t show up. They showed up on the next court date and were thankfully evicted then.

Court processes suck. You can’t start eviction proceedings until 30 days after rent unpaid, you then have to wait for the court date which can be months off, once the court issues the judgement the tenant can then appeal which is another court date months off, then after the appeal is denied they get 30 days to vacate willingly which they never do so then you can escalate to the court again to get a court order force eviction and then it still takes coordination the sheriff to effect the eviction & then the landlord still has all the damages and filth to clean up before they can put it back on the market and then it can still sit. UK house of commons library - A debtor does not have to let bailiffs into their home when they knock on the door. Bailiffs are not allowed to push past an individual to gain entry or jam their foot into a door to prevent it being shut _just like the first case
Unfortunately it is not. In the UK, you have wait until the tennant is 2 months in arrears before filing. If you file it takes around 6-12 weeks to get a court date. If the tennant pays and is only a month behind in the time between filing and the court date, the tennant can argue they are only a month behind and the proceedings usually end. The system also requires all landlords pay court costs and baliffs out of their own pockets and many can't afford it. 85% of landlords will never get their money back. The system is made to benefit the tennant because it is a house to live in. If the landlord throws out the tennant before the eviction, they can get into trouble. Basically, they have their hands tied until courts get involved and even then, it can take months. The tennant has a right to appeal. If there is an appeal, it can postpone evictions. It is nuts what can be done stay without paying.
@@SunDancerLove Your answer is confusing. You stated "2 months in arrears." I've seen many episodes where they were THIRTY MONTHS in rent arrears. Why can't a financed car be seized? Just tell the finance company that the car will temporarily be seized due to lack of payment. Make the debtor pay extra to have the car released AFTER the entire car is paid off. Just wheel it to a storage shed and lock it up. From the 3+ hours (!) of videos I've seen of this show, if the finance company doesn't allow the car to be seized, sometimes it just makes the debtor even more stubborn and then they refuse to pay.
