The OneUp pedals have been refreshed. The latest offerings have a longer threads which make them compatible with SRAM carbon cranks. Prior to 2023, their pedal packaging has a CAUTION label re: incompatibility. Such warning stickers have been removed now. Despite the refresh, they still don't work with crank boots.
We did not know that! That's good to hear, I feel like a lot of people would want to run these with Sram Carbon cranks! Thanks for the info, we will make an amendment in the description!
They were black. And yeah they have a gray pair but it's not quite the same color as my Rhodium Silver Burgtec Stem. Wanted the pedals to match as closely as possible!
I think One-Up is great. I have their composite pedals and dropper post on my bike. But... these aren't compatible with crank boots?! That seems like a problem. Doesn't it? Many riders willing to pay $145 for pedals will also run carbon cranks. Am I missing something?
Yeah it’s because of how they interface with the cranks. The pedal body sits nearly flush to the side of the crank so it makes the compatibility with those items tricky. Crank boots can be modified to work if you cut the hole bigger and I have heard people running them with a spacer on carbon cranks but we would not advise it because OneUp does not advise it.

We were just comparing the pedals we had on hand. The premise of the video was not a comparison of OneUp vs. Crankbrothers. Nothing against Crankbrothers, we’re sure the 7s and 11s are solid pedals, as are the Stamp 2s.

I has used a knife and cut the boots 2mm larger in hole radius and that seemed to work@@NickandKatieMTB
@@sergioferminmtb good to know! Thanks for the comment! 🤙
OneUp ALU pedals are the best looking MTB flat pedals on the market. I have them on my XC setup. On my trail bike I run Tenet Omen V2 pedals.
They really are some good looking pedals! And the Tenet Omen V2s are sick. Both quality pedals!
Great review!
Thank you for watching! 🤙
Favorite pedals.
Can’t beat em! We have both been running them for years now.
Deity T-MAC flat pedals are awesome too.
Definitely a sweet pedal! 👍
What color was Nick's OneUp pedals prior to de-anodization? OneUp actually sells a silver version in case he didn't know.

How did Nick de-anodize the black? Did he use Draino liquid?
@@GokkunGuru used some oven cleaner. Here’s the video about the process if you’re curious! th-cam.com/video/XNREKPJHnW0/w-d-xo.html
I almost got them in Purple from my LBS here in Chambersburg...but That's a lot of Fookers!!!
Haha you got a fookin point! 😜

Could you tell me how you got to strip the one up pedals? tryna get that raw aluminum look.
For sure! Check out my video on it! - th-cam.com/video/XNREKPJHnW0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=oCd9HY7W605Wy1JS
What shoes are best choice with this pedals?
We both ride in Ride Concepts 👍
It’s a shame they don’t have other parts in these colours.
Right! These colors are pretty awesome. Surprised they don’t sell colorful chainrings and stems!
@@NickandKatieMTB I’m trying to find parts to match a grey zeb and it’s a struggle.

Nothing feels better but a BMX pedal with studs that have threads and are about a 1/8 to a 1/4 long to the shins
It’s the price we pay for good grip 😂
They come in pink don't they? My mate has them! More like hopes old ano pink
@@Emtbtoday could be a glitch in the matrix. 🤔 We just doubled checked and no pink unfortunately!
im sure they are great and all but i will not be spending $145 on them ill keep looking at
stamp 1
I’m sure they are great pedals as well! 👍
Unfair comparison between one up and the stamp 2. Because the stamp 7’s weigh in at 375g and stamp 11 weigh 325g
