    MG's Q1 2024 starts with the podium: MG HS is the first petrol C-SUV with 2,066 units. MG ZS is second among petrol B-SUVs with 7,453 units sold (Jeep Avenger is first with almost 10,000 units) and MG4 is in third place in the B+C segment because with its 2,000-odd sales it embraces a bit both sectors.
    In 2024, the Italian network can count on 70 dealers and 140 sales points, as well as 125 assistance points . The first spare parts warehouse in Italy will be operational in June : this is a special case for our market because MG Italia will be the first National Sales Company (among the various MG companies in Europe) to have a warehouse in the country in which it operates. For the moment the others will be supplied from the central warehouse in Amsterdam.     The hybrid used by the MG3 Hybrid+ is a system that combines a 102 hp and 128 Nm petrol engine (1.5 liter displacement, Atkinson cycle) with a 136 hp and 250 Nm electric motor that draws energy from the 1.83 kWh battery. The Full Hybrid powertrain delivers a total of 195 hp which, however, does not translate into extreme performance in reality but still allows it to reach a very respectable 0-100 km/h : just 8 seconds (maximum speed 170 km/h).
    This is to put the performance into perspective, which is there when needed but is not consistent for continuous use: to be clear, on the track it will not be as constant in performance lap after lap as a pure thermal would. Having understood this, however, one can proceed with a light heart, taking the MG3 Hybrid+ for what it is: a practical car, as lively as and when needed in everyday driving , with enough torque to never be put into crisis even in climb.
