What made this relationship work was unlike other TV relationships, Adalind was a real partner. Once she chose Nick, she avoided complications and Drama. She handled things the right way and communicated. She never hid her feelings and look what transpired. Nick never doubted her intentions when she left, never actually thought she betrayed him. They never fought because she supported him and he her. He didn't stop her from going back to work. He didn't restrict her from talking to others. They were able to build trust and that's a big thing I think
