Just a correction, the part at Bogue Road is still apart of the Montego Bay Bypass, The long Hill Bypass is between Montego Bay West Village and Bogue Village, the work on that end has not started as yet due to delays with residence relocation
Greetings. I just found your channel, and I love it, and am very impressed with your videos. As a Jamaican living overseas for many moons, I keep interested in my country, especially the western parts, since am from Westmoreland. I used to live in Mo Bay. Am interested in the long hill new bypass. That hill is so dangerous. Am a new subscriber. Keep up the great work.
@@jcdcampbellc I appreciate your feedback. Thanks for subscribing. I will continue to provide updates as best as I can. Stay tuned…
Was going to correct you on that. Just watching your vlog rn and pls keep these updates coming especially for us who can’t be there in Mobay to see it. We appreciate your channel and thank you for giving us coverage on this construction.
Yes man. Appreciate the support. Will do.
Its getting better and better
Yes yes
Great project, I am very impress
Thanks for the good work you do.
@@paulsherwood5862 You are welcome
I understand why they choose the route from where Temple Gallery Road meets the North Coast Highway at Bogue and to make a good direct link to Howard Cooke Blvd through the sewage ponds. I just hope that the road design will not scrimp on barriers to prevent vehicles going into the sewage ponds. Otherwise future accidents will bring future extra tragedies.
Good point. We don’t want anyone going in the sewage pond.
And driver also have a responsibility to drive with care to protect their own lives. That said, i dont see why they wouldnt.
@@phyllisthompson4207 you are right.
There should be no toll on this bypass road. The need for a bypass road to handle the traffic mess in Montego Bay is way overdue, but not going to improve the situation if a large majority of motorists find it an expensive alternate route. It will just be underused and the traffic mess continue. So much tax revenue is sent from the region to the central government that the cost and maintenance of this project should not be a problem. It just underscores the crippling effect the central government has on the need to progress in other areas of Jamaica.
I agree with you, for this significant change in Jamaica and long overdue bypass road, if they add the tolls and it is too expensive, you would fine that people will rarely use it and just take the old route. Everytime I am hearing that there will be a toll and the other time they be saying that there will be no toll plaza. We will eventually see when it is completed.
Is only a pity all these development did not come on stream 30 years ago and i hope preperation is reserve for light and water to be integrated along these corridor at a later date some distant in the future amen
It is long overdue for sure
pnp fault and we all know it but some Jamaicans who supported the pnp too ashamed to admit it
lol 20 years of pnp and only highway 2000 lol
Glad to see the improvement especially for the long hill bypass because I am not sure if I would drive up or down long hill
I got an update after I uploaded the video that the area I had gone to at Bogue Road is still the Montego Bay Bypass. The Longhill bypass will start close to West Village and Bogue Village and go Southerly to Bogue Hill and those areas. The work on the Longhill bypass has not started as yet because they are waiting on residence to relocate. I am going to edit this video shortly.
Good info, BB.
Keep going.
Thanks
When will we see the Pinnacle towers progress 🤔. Looking forward to see this episode.
Gonna check on it and see if I can gain access or not.
Great great job you guys are doing 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Yes yes
Good stuff Carl, keep up the good work. I'm looking out for the next video 😊
Thanks much. Will keep you posted.
Wish this bridge was a few feet wider to provide an importasoft shoulder for disabled vehicles so as to avoid traffic congestion...
That’s a good idea, but maybe in the future
Thank you for the information 🙏🏽
You are welcome
Good morning thanks for this update my input what will happen if we get more rain and what about person living in those places anyway those persons have to place in better homes Thanks again
You are welcome. The Barnett River can be a very powerful river when it rains, so they will have to ensure that the infrastructure that is being constructed can withstand all of that power. We will see….
Our health care sysem is in shambles and our nurses and teachers are leaving.... something is wrong
Yup and part of the problem is Jamaicans want free health care. Jamaica has corrupt leaders
Your brain is in shambles
The health care system is not in shambles and why are our teachers leaving to go to America and UK? Are those countries building so many new schools? Or are the teachers in those countries leaving in droves? In some states the school week has been cut to 4 days because of teacher shortage.
Why are you sad to see Jamaica's progress? Aren't you a patriot?
Thank you for your update.... Would you be able give us any update about the section from G15 I know they were clearing and dumping up around there to connect back to the bogue road
I will check and see if I can get any update.
The road at the sewage plant is still part of the perimeter road and not the long hill bypass portion.
On the NROCC is said that it would start at Temple Gallery Road. h2kjamaica.com.jm/montego-bay-project
@BrownBossJaTours It did say it will begin at Temple Gallery Road. However, it also stated where on that road it will begin. It said in the vicinity of Bogue Village and West Village, which is at the other end of Temple Gallery road.
@@royanwilliams2745 I am sorry for the confusion, I will update it. I am seeing where it is still the Montego Bay Bypass.
What about St. Elizabeth to Montego Bay?
The highway should pass through St. Elizabeth, Westmoreland, Hanover would be apart highway 2000
please do a video of new apartment 4 towers 28 floof project
I will check it out and see.
Tolled road, sym wid dat
It rough man
I am glad someone is providing updates, because the government isnt. But what about the people's homes that are being knocked down (not deconstructed) and communities affected by noise? Why skirt around the issue of tolls? If the bypass is to take traffic out of downtown, charging people will discourage them, look how empty the toll road is from Ochi. Were is the public debate?
I have been hearing different information about the toll booths that might be installed at the bypass. It seems as if they have not come to a final decision as yet. The bypass should be free to travel on in my opinion because people will just use it at first and then they go back on the normal road to avoid the tolls. So more traffic congestion.
@@BrownBossJaToursI agree it should be free tbh
The original information when it was been survey was for only the traffic that used the full route will pay local exits will noteveryone has to get paid at market value. It's the law for eminient domain
@@UG89999why should everything be free with you people?
Let’s do an exercise… use your brain… what do you think happened to the owners of those houses?
This bridge should extend further inland. It cannot begin and end exactly at land. It has to be further in on land for more fortification. Who is the engineer? This practise must stop NOW.
You can check the link in my description for more information on the project
From where to where this hwy go
Ironshore to Montego Bay, but around Mobay, so you would not go through downtown Mobay. Then the Longhill bypass will take you from Montego Bay to areas like Montpellier that can take you to straight to Mandeville.
🆙🇯🇲👍🏿 nice
what is the total length of the bridge?
The total length is about 187 m
What is the cost for this by pass?❤
Not sure about that as yet. When they release I will provide an update.
The long hill bypass is a toll?
That is the plan right now, but it might change.
Goen long hill naw stop you
The work will soon start on the Longhill bypass, they are just waiting on some persons to relocate
Are Jamaicans learning anything from the Chinese? Or is it typical memory loss?
The Chinese are involved with building a lot of infrastructure worldwide. They are very family oriented and don’t party. You rarely find Chinese at parties. When they dress they wear cheap stuff. We can learn a lot from the Chinese
Yes, did you know that the engineering team is 50/50 ? Lot of the unskilled is becoming skill oriented. Take a visit the next time on any of the Chinese program. Did you know one of Jamaica's riches man is half Chinese. Check it out Michael Lee and his brother. Chinese are long time citizens of Jamaica 🇯🇲.
@@Tinnaray360 you are right. Chinese love our country and they are apart of it. Out of many one people.
Try getting the overused mundane term "guys" "guys" out of the narrative.
Noted on that. It’s a habit.
I always ask this question why concreate and not steel, I thought steel would be lighter and stronger and more flexible, considering we're an Earthquake country!
They are prefabricated by post-tensioning method, so steel would be apart of it for sure.
