I honestly just love your vibe so much! its like "here are some plants just look at them i dont know what else to say" lol but thats exactly right. I think most ppl in the hobby just want to look at them and enjoy them. I also dont like the idea of trying to fight the environment just to try to grow something for the sake of collecting it, i mean its not sustainable long term. It is much much more satisfying when u love them and they love you back growing large and healthy living harmoniously together. just like what you do with all your plants.
At the first time, i look all your plants are so beautiful and the biggest plants i ever seen. It's been touching my soul to loving more all my plants too. You are such as inspired to take care of plants as right ppl.
I see why you don't have a wishlist plant right now! Your glass house is nice and spacious.....enjoyed the tour esp thst strappy leaf one Anthurium V! I will have to watch other videos to see where you hang it :) have a nice day or night!!
I loved this video! I really like how passionate you are and yet still very down to earth :) Also, well done on the making the video, it is very nice to watch! :) Thanks!
You are truly an amazing human and such a wonderful plant Dad 🥰 Thank you continuously showing us your creative and unreal plant care. I can get enough of your expertise and guidance Cheers mate 💚🌱💚 P.s Hi Brad
I LOOOOVE anthuriums. Got mine (Mag x cross Mag x and Mag x crystal) in a the mini IKEA house coz they just babies. Plus I have my Clarinervium just under some good humidifiers coz she ok with less humidity. I have not sealed the green house, I have just done stone tray and have been getting lots of aerial roots so I am assuming they like the humidity they have. However if I had a Waroc I would give it it’s own IKEA Green House!! 😍😍😍
I like the philosophy of "not hyping up a certain plant". We have learned now that social media can unnecessarily and regretfully drive the price up of 'popular ' goods.
I love your "I don't care what it is, I grow it if I like it" attitude. I'm a sucker for brands and unfortunately all the high end anthuriums just get me lol
I’m replicating & journaling the process of using your method in Southern California, the biggest difference is humidity as I’m in wine country & pretty far from the beach, however all of my small plants & cuttings were locally grown in our dryer climate, so I’m hoping I will have success.
Gets up early on a Sunday morning because phone notification says you’ve uploaded a new vid! It was worth getting up for! I need an IKEA greenhouse cabinet now, you’re no good for my bank account! 😂
Love your Anthurium collection! I am getting a starter plant for Anthurium Luxurian soon. Would you recommend starting it in the aroid mix with moss pole like your monstera & philodendrons?

Hello Love your vids and your style. Tell me, what do you keep your humidity at, I am in US and struggle with indoor humidity. Thanks for making videos!
Wow, tbh I didn't even know that Anthuriums can have a variegtation. Now that I think of it I ask myself why, I mean it's a plant, of course it can 🤷 Anyways, I am not someone who just loves all variegated plants and I don't know anything about Anthuriums as well 🤣 but WOW I just absolutely fell in love with the look of that variegated magnificum. It's absolutely adorable! I'll not google it as I don't wanna see the price tag on those (we all know ppl have a habit of selling a kidney for plant just because it shows variegation 🙄) and I'll just keep liking it :) Plus props for that little Fight Club arrangement at 21:41 😝👏
They look great in your cabinet, how do u keep all the leaves facing to the door side? In my case, the leaves always grow in different directions (left or right side of the cabinet)
Thank you for such a fab video Jan. I hope my little anthuriums in my cabinet grow up to be as big and beautiful as yours ❤️ One small question - around what temperature does your cabinet sit at? (I don’t think you mentioned this in your video) Thank you 🙏🏻
Interesting video 😊, I’ve never used a cabinet so far. Sorry if you mentioned already and I missed it, but what liquid fertiliser do you use on your plants? Thanks
Correct IDs add value to the plants, if you show your plants you have to label it as Anthuriums unknown. Just like Orchids. The x is pronounced as cross, for obvious reasons. Flea markets in Qlds right up to 2013 were selling queens , kings , crystallinums for $20 for a 140ml pots. It’s the social media influencers that made the price sky rocket. It doesn’t matter how common the Anthurium , growing the seedlings will produce a variable grex. You’ll never know what you might get, variegation, dark factors aka red forms, hypopigmentation (aureas) etc.
Hey! Love the plant cabinet idea, question: how do you attach/sit the plants and their pots into the cabinet? You have the metal grid affixed to the back wall... And then what?
Love your set up. If you don't mind, may I ask how was the cabinet shipped to you in Aussie? I want to buy a cabinet from IKEA like yours but I'm afraid of the glass being damaged after paying a lot for shipping to NZ...
Hiiii! your videos are such an inspiration that I (a total noob) decided I want to try making this. Thank you so so much for all this great content. I have a noob question though :D Did I understand correctly that you do not additionally humidify the inside of the cabinet in any way? The humidity just develops and stays in there because of all the plants?
Are the legboards an Ikea product? It is possible to just order the grids of the pegboard separately then. Love all your videos btw. I started some mosspoles myself and I can't wait to see the results I can get in the Netherlands :)
Does your Queen still get crispy ends? Mine is in a cabinet too and the oldest leaf is looking a bit rough despite high humidity + constantly moist substrate. Thank you for the tour. Again, your plants are beautiful.

"she is a real queen"🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love your Anthurium collection! I am getting a starter plant for Anthurium Luxurian soon. Would you recommend starting it in the aroid mix with moss pole like your monstera & philodendrons?
I don’t believe it would need a pole :) i’d just put it in aroid mix with a top layer of moss :)
Your cabinet is so wonderful!! How are your plants finding the winter months? Does your cabinet sustain enough heat to help your plants thrive?
Thanks :) yes it hasn’t dropped below 20degrees celcius :) they are still pushing out new leaves and inflos non- stop :)
Our IKEA Milsbo gets to about 75 with some small water trays inside. Do you use a humidifier to get to 90?!
No :) the humidity is created by the plants. Did you seal the doors ?:)
@@sydneyplantguy that’s awesome!!! only the center and sides, do you also do the top and bottom of the door? Getting my first queen this weekend 🤞🤞

Wow 90% humidity! I thought mine were high at 75-80%. Maybe I’ll bump it up and see what happens!
Hi your plants are very healthy and beautiful. I would like to know where do you buy seeds, I am from Canada
I buy them all locally. Sorry no idea where to get them from outside of Australia

Do you have grow lights for plants outside the cabinet for those dark gloomy rainy/winter days?
Just in my bedroom, video coming soon:)
Hey! Love the plant cabinet idea, question: how do you attach/sit the plants and their pots into the cabinet? You have the metal grid affixed to the back wall... And then what?
I use the ikea clips as mentioned in the video :)

@@lukewade4958 @5:14, clips from IKEA that work with the pegboard originally.

Do you use your Ikea greenhouse only for only Anthuriums? If not what other plants live in the cabinet?
Yes just anthuriums but you could use it for any small high humidity loving plants & seedlings

Ikea pegboard clips :)
Thank you for sharing! You are so resourceful. I would love to know how much your bills go up for due this green house and all the plant you have.

"the market here is saturated with seeds" - then send them over to Europe 😂
