20:45 to your credit, you have relatively fewer plants, but they are more mature. I agree with your point that a lot of people have the tendency to collect plants more than actually take care of them. Like my roommate who brags about being a plant "mom" yet here she is with 150 plants most of which are rather spindly, with barely any leaf, either too dry to the point of being limp or too wet and on the verge of root rot. I do have a parallel philosophy that my plants ought to blend with MY living space.
Fortunately, I'm distracted by the plants to even look at your moss poles. When looking at my moss poles, it's part of the journey to see leaves start covering them. 🎉🎉🎉❤😂

Great vid! This is something I learned over time with collecting. I quickly found I don’t want just a lot in number. I want plants that genuinely make me happy that are also nice to look at. I don’t want my home to look like a rehab center. I want lush full plants. This has made me examine purchases with a “stronger” eye or buy 2 plants and combine when I get home because buying plants has turned a lot into buying a leaf and acting like it’s a plant.
Thank you this was awesome, my takeaway from this video was to be intentional with my plant buying. you alway give really practical advice that just makes sense. Thank you.

I think your apartment needs some purple. That is my only suggestion:) And there's nothing wrong with hating terracotta; you wont find any in my house either.

in my area, buildings have small windows. there is no apartment with such big windows as yours. I would love to grow my plants with natural light, but it's just not possible.
This is why I am painting my terracotta white or black 😅 I’m hanging plants on walls with floating terracotta hooks and it looks better to me than hanging macrame. To me it looks like it will just collect dust and harbor spiders 😬

I got a mic 15 videos ago :D
Beautiful plants and content! I've started making my own grow poles as well!! I wanted to ask you, how do you keep your plants watered (and the grow pole) if you every go on vacation for over 1 month? I may need to travel soon and don't have anyone to care for the plants.. any recommendations? =)
Hey, i uploaded a video ‘growth update after 2 weeks overseas’ where I explain what I did. I had friends house sitting though
How do you keep your cuprea so lush? Leaves does not die off? Do you have grow lights in your apartment or just natural light? Thanks
Check out my alocasia collection video :)
Thank you so much for the Video
Ive always wanted the matuee forms of everything that climbs too.. but its not that easy in switzerland. Growlights here look all ugly and the nice ones I cant afford :P
So I just go for bushy atm ^^'
I prefer to use transparent mono fishing line. It is nearly invivible.
Yeah i feel like the fishing line could be hard on the petioles, that’s why I opted for twine
Can u please link the clear pots u use or what size? Thank u!
Hab ich da einen deutschen Akzent rausgehört? Hab gerade deinen Kanal entdeckt und bin begeistert! Danke dir
Ja :) danke :)
What pot do you use ? That cute and what size ?
Brad turns towards the sun too 🐱
Brad turns towards the wet food :D
I think your apartment needs some purple. That is my only suggestion:) And there's nothing wrong with hating terracotta; you wont find any in my house either.
I hate the color purple :D my least favorite by far
@@sydneyplantguy, 😆 🤣 😂 😹
I also dislike terracotta pots in my home, and only stick to black white and gray. My plants are "art" to me and I don't want to be distracted from their beauty with orange colored pots.
Yes !!!!
😍😍😍
Also white planters compliment the green plant
Yes so true !:)
How do you handle the toxicity of some of your plants, re, your cat? Thanks, Anne
I’m very lucky, Brad shows no interest in my plants :)
Do you purchase your plants already established and mature? Or have you been growing them to maturity on your own?
I always get them all small plants/cuttings and grow them to maturity myself :)
@@sydneyplantguy cool! Great Job! From Ontario, Canada where things grow really slow 🥴😆
I like thick wood branches but they are so heavy. I've only tried it with one of my plants.
❤️😍
Literally even his oxalis has huge leaves!
😊
in my area, buildings have small windows. there is no apartment with such big windows as yours. I would love to grow my plants with natural light, but it's just not possible.
Yes I think I got pretty lucky with my apartment :)
This is why I am painting my terracotta white or black 😅 I’m hanging plants on walls with floating terracotta hooks and it looks better to me than hanging macrame. To me it looks like it will just collect dust and harbor spiders 😬
What are floating terracotta hooks?
