The way you hit kendang with the tip of your hand, tap with your hand, tap with your whole fingers, tap with the palm and tap with the base of your palm creates different kind of sounds. Tapping different area of the kendang also make different sound. The farther from the center will make higher notes. 2. Dangdut is the genre of this music, although it's a result of mixture some traditional music elements from India, Arab and Malay. It's not a traditional genre. Dangdut was first popularized in the 70s. 3. Koplo is the sub-genre. Literally in Javanese, koplo means being high or drunk. So in term in this kind music, it means a music that makes the listener feeling high and automatically dancing like a drunk. 😁
