Someone in comment explained the typical dancing movement when people dance to dangdut music, you actually did it when you sway your upper body around in following the beat :) Mostly it is the upper body that is actively moved,with upper arms raised chest height and kept very closed to your body, and the hands form a fist with the thumbs up. Whereas the lower body mostly stationary or moved back and forth just a tile away :)
Dangdut came to Indonesian music scene in the 70s, I think. Dangdut is not a traditiional music, but it is more categorized as a folk music genre, such as blue grass in country. The instrument is called Kendang, an adaptation of Tabla instrument from India. The music itself is a mixture of Indian, Middle East, and Malay tunes - if I am not mistaken. The 'Dut' from the word Dangdut reflects of the sound made when the player hit the Kendang instrumemt with the heel of his palm and slide it towards the middle. It is the distinct signature sound of this genre.
Dangdut Koplo is a modernized version of traditional dangdut, where the beat is mixed with dance/house beat. Koplo (Ko as in the word 'co', Plo as in 'plow' without the w) is an East Java word meaning high or drunk. So Dangdut Koplo is the kind of sub-genre in Dangdut where the beat is to incite dance like you are in trance to the music. (In my opinion).
Dangdut pronounced as 'Dang' with the vowel a pronounced as you pronounced the word 'farm', and 'Dut' with the vowel u pronounced as you pronounced double o in the word 'woof'.
Dang dut, is a music of people of indonesia, mrs drew... and it makes people shaking and dancing...🤣🤣

His name is Benni, the conventional dang dut only use kendang (percusion) , when they use additional electrical instrument then called Dangdut Koplo. Dangdut its self got influenced from India since they use the same instrument percusion called tabla. The simple dance of dangdut just raise your 2 thumbs and also shake body.
