The topic of emotional fitness is probably the most important I could think of to cover, because ultimately your subjective experience of life will determine your quality of life. I love the angles we were able to hit here - hopefully should help a LOT. If you power through the crazy noise and movement of the video and get the lessons, that's a great first exercise in emotional fitness :). Many more videos on this topic to come -Tyler

What would support the theory of parallel reality is the Mandela effect, Darth Vader no longer says "Luke I'm your father"; the VW, Ford and Volvo logos changed, the wich in Snow White no longer says "mirror mirror who's the fairest of them all" ... and a lot of people remember Nelson Mandela dead in the 80's in prison, not in 2013.

The timing on this is absurd, was all flustered about a parking ticket I got that was completely my fault. Saw this in my inbox and watched it and I got over my petty bullshit and took on the perspective of the experience being emotional fitness.

This was complete GOLD guys, hit me right when I needed this. I've read "man's search for meaning" and it's so true, even though it's a massive dose of perspective I actually forgot the lessons from the book and returned to the unconscious patterns of self pity/victim mode a few weeks after. These emotional addictions are so real if we lose sight and I see now how they run me on a daily basis if I don't "remember the light" early on. I really think after watching this video something will change, even if it's tiny as just knowing that there is a way to remember what I should be remembering. Thank You!

      hahahah yes.
      Serious answer:
That girl will exist when you look at girls they way Tyler looks at Julien (in a non creepy way lol).
I've found the most grounded, down-to-earth, insanely present person that I've ever met to be my partner... Okay fine, RSD instructors are also some of the most insanely present people I've met. But this girl in my life, my goodness. She could easily be an RSD self-help instructor if she weren't so shy at times hahahaha.
We clicked in love and presence because we had those habits as individuals.

To me the most obvious reason most people resist help or good advice is just pride. The friends and family who turned down your Hawaiian vacation offers could have been suffering from unconscious biases and blind spots, but they also could've just been embarrassed that you were succeeding where they aren't. If a guy does you a favor, subconsciously you know you 'owe' him now. Like two men arguing over a check. They could hate the other guys' guts, but they'll be damned if they'll let themselves become indebted to him. It's a sad fact that many people will willingly fall to their own demise before admitting they need help. You guys offered the best, balanced answer: Try to help people who want help whenever possible, and know well enough when they don't and when to let go. Awesome vid, btw.

Given some of the topics they talked about -- especially that example they made about the business partners, it is truly amazing that Owen and Julien are still so close as business partners and friends, given the fact that they are most likely extremely different people from when they started. It's so weird to me because I look at some of what were my closest friends who have actually grown with myself, yet, we aren't really that close anymore for merely the fact that naturally it just doesn't quite feel right anymore, as we are so far from what we once were.. yet somehow they are still super close ( I am assuming ).

    Great Vid; My Personal Notes:
Don’t freak out when you don’t know what the situation is. Tyler explains that TI was serving 1 year in jail but didn’t want to serve 2 (the second being the preceding year) by worrying. This was a major lesson for Tyler which he has passed on to me. He tells a tale of how worrying about making his flight or not wasn’t helpful in the least so he simply stopped. I can stop worrying about shit as well when I don’t know what the situation is. Its just jumping to the worst case scenario which isn’t helpful to me.
People are addiction to their emotions. Some may say that they want to be lighter, less toxic, etc but they may really not what that deep down because it is uncomfortable and not what the used to. Even when given positivity and beauty - they will find a way to feel that pain or dynamic again. So be careful who I am around in terms of this. And it goes deeper. Some people are comfortable with sadness, aggressive confrontation, passive-aggressiveeness, etc, its literally any dynamic. For me, there is a pattern of always worrying and actively stopping my happiness..however now I am opening a new pattern of peace and light heartedness which I am ready for. However, it takes practice to resonate with this and I need to be patient and keep teaching myself in specific situations.
“Are you the greatest architect of your own discontent?... I certainly cant claim otherwise” (1:02)
“Sometimes when you strain to hear something you hear it much better”
The phenomenon that Julian and Tyler talk about is so erie as I go through the same thing all the time. This is a form of self-sabotage I need to end. For Tyler, he explains that he sees a video of his while editing that he knows will bring him success if he releases - but he can’t release it. Like a part of him is resisting that success. He talks to a counselor or friend and forces himself. For Julian, he talks about having the option to watch on youtube a video that will help him grow, but finds resistance, and opts for a “derpy” one instead. Same goes for reading where he finds resistance with something that is helpful but can easily read bullshit things. Julian has already dealt with this - post on TM.

The metaphor reveal about the boat in the end was pretty mind blowing.

You guys are doing great! You're changing lives! I'm getting pissed by the background noises in the video, yeah well caught myself thinking I'm watching a breakthrough video for free, complaining when 200 years ago people died in misery as there were no books or anything available to change their mindset.

Here's the point I feel is underestimates in these videos, there's reality where people do compete/shit test you,and if you keep ignoring it you will keep getting your boundaries pushed, before you know anything, you have none. You keep taking the high road, they'll keep suxker punching you in the nuts. That is to say, endlessly forgiving others because you realize life's a bliss and it's not worth it is not sustainable. Watched a good bunch of videos on Bulldog Mindset about it. However, I can't stress out how much I grew as a person watching these videos, and how much they give me hope when I'm off track!
