Awesome style of video-production, please keep them coming I love this kind of videos where you can see almost all the process to take an airplane to the sky. I find this sort of videos very inspiring to whoever is wanting to become a pilot. (me, included) Thanks for sharing
You did a wonderful job filming this aircraft. The flight showed beautiful sky and cloud colors that I don't remember seeing on any other videos. It was entertaining, except for the lack of audio in the cockpit and with ATC. Otherwise a good job.
+dala man Propably due to the first engine being started, the integrated drive generator of the engine kicked in, resulted in a power switching. Sometimes the display units perform a self test after that.
I love this video ! Thank you for sharing it with us. You did a great job again👍 It is awesome ✈ I hope I can sit on the rightern seat one day as well, after finishing my Abitur next year :) But the job front is not that good in germany at the moment as you might know! Never give up and fight for your dream job 👌
very well done, great video. Like that you showed some briefing as well, what others tend to forget. Just a question, why does the FO have 2 stripes as opposed to the normal 3?
Love these Jumpseat videos , great detail and sounds . I like the way they go to a destination and back . Is there any other ones like this or is it only this one and the Madrid one ? thanks
Thanks from Fortaleza/Brasil for this nice video. This company are visit my city (Edelweiss) with A330. Thanks again for sharing this great video. Gilberto Mendes,
Awesome vid!! Great angles and picture! Enjoyed the "in flight " music even...but Id have preferred more dialogue between pilots and some radio stuuf....But brill!!!!
mrmister001 That was a CAT I at most. You had visibility over at least 3km. CAT III requires RVR of 50-200m. But i think it was a non-precision approach which doesn't require minimus it uses MDH/MDA instead. if you look at 28:30 you'll see the needle chase meaning that they probably used a NDB approach. NDB's are supposed to be removed in Europe by the upcoming years and it's being replaced by GNSS approaches. :)
Can someone tell me please; The Captain had control of the aircraft and the First Officer was monitoring the systems for take off, I noticed the First Officer's head set not sitting over his ear, is this so he can also listen for any abnormal noises, bangs etc during the take off. They both where very impressive and professional.
bs2502 The FO was in control of the aircraft during the take off. Sometimes (as in this case) a Captain (PIC/PM) can set thrust for take off while a FO is actually flying an aircraft. You can also see/hear the PIC calling the standard PM call-outs like 80 knots, positive rate while the FO said gear up and subsequently the PIC set the gear lever up.
bs2502 Very professional indeed. Your assumption of the headset is correct, ( to hear abnormal noises, and other verbal voices)but only one earcup is not over the ear. This is a very common practice with most airlines. The F/O gave control back to the captain at the end of the rollout. Though most newer airplanes have dual tiller installation, most airlines forbid the F/O from taxing, though he would be otherwise fully capable of doing. Great video.
Possibly one of the best aviation videos I've ever seen. The approach coming back through the fog was amazing!
Edelweiss - Schwizer Qualität! Mir liebet euch 👍🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭
🌎❤❤EINFACH SCHÖN auch im Cockpit Dialekt zu hören.
DANKE

does anyone know what music it is @ 34:20? I love that sound and idk where i can find it!
That seems to be ILS CAT III, but I don't listen the "MINIMUMS"... ? why?
