@@rozmarinideas5340 Artosis is usually triggered by luck-based things. Dark archons aren't affected by luck.
Just imagine if Artosis lost though...
He was still pretty salty when his tanks got nuked, but he won in the end, so he let it go.

This game looked like a smurf having actual fun in the game, totally different from the rigid snoozefest of Artosis's style.
Terran is boring to watch and play in general. Not Artosis's fault, tbh.

Starcraft is hard, getting the fundamentals down with mech is really really difficult enough and it's gonna get you wins.
But imho, if Artosis would want to improve another 1%-2% and increase his subscriber count while he's at it he should look into using more ScienceVessels and Nukes of his own.
I do agree that his style is a snooze fest but it's still friggn Starcraft. Microing a tank drop would give most people a mental break down. You can't even shift click in sc1.

What an epic game. The other guy just bite more than he can chew with that SCV steal.
Idk why people are praising him in the comments. The guy trolled artosis the entire game and still lasted 45 minutes. Had he went pure toss all game, artosis would have gotten dumpstered. If you pay attention up until the point the scv was taken, artosis was getting wrecked.
yeah, that chad literally trolled him for the heck of it, and artosis sweated so hard and finished with "and he thought he can tvt me" - the dude literally showed he can dumpster him with toss, then go toe vs toe while playing two races XD
So funny watching Artosis go full try-hard mode and barely win against somebody running circles around him with two different armies. The difference in skill on display here is pretty significant.

This mind set people have about strategy games never makes sense to me. One side does some cheesy admittedly fun/amusing play and then for the opponent its either "lol you lost to cheese" or "lol I wasnt really trying anyway." You can't win when people use these mental gymnastics to troll you no matter what. Guess you just gotta settle with getting the win.
@@archsyntropy6547 That's the point, you're already humiliated if the opponent cheeses you (and you can't immediately punish them to make it look stupid). You get humiliated no matter what because they showed a difference in skill.

Most time it's fun to take pokes at Artosis and have fun on his back with his reactions and everything, but this time I'm absolutely glad and happy he won.
That thing that the protoss player did where at 4:39 he said "You're pretty good" was total douchery.
Why is it douchery? Why can’t it be a legitimate remark at how his gameplay is actually shaping? Whenever I find a legitimately good opponent in competitive games I let them know they’re good at what they’re doing.

Whenever a Korean says to you "You're good!" or "You play well!" or "You're not quite bad!" or something to that effect,
it's actually a subtle brag on their part that they are the better player.
It's part of their online "etiquette", and it's sorta like saying "yeah, you're OK... but just not good ENOUGH. ;]"

Once a protoss gets a hold of an enemy worker, they can completely change the game.

Unreal! I have never in a professional game seen a Protoss Player actually Mind control an SCV and use it to make a whole other army.
usually the games are too quick to do that! Like you wouldn't get a chance to build anything that quick! I mean I was able to do that like when playing at a LAN party with friends back when we were just messing around in a single game for 3 hours.
Koreans are really on a whole other level! Then after he loses his Drop he posts Tpes in the chat like a Friggin Anime Villian "You're pretty Good..." and then shows his Hand with a whole terran Army. But then Artosis was able to hold the line and push back against 2 armies! Incredible!

The only spell I hate with Protoss is mind-control....when I 'm not playing Protoss because it gives them double the supply vs their opponent. In fact their is no comparable spell for the other races. Zerg can infest CC but that's only to make infested Terrans and it doesn't give them more supply. Terran can just lockdown and nuke, but so can Protoss when they use mindcontrol.
I think Artosis’s TvT is his best match up, so the Protoss player essentially through when he made Terran units trying to be bad mannered.
That was an epic game indeed.

That’s just impressive, in my 20 odd years of playing Starcraft I never saw any value in vultures whatsoever but I just wasn’t using them correctly. In fact I never gave them a chance but I’m going to try it now because the way you do it works very good. Good for you buddy.
I'd love to see this in like Code A or something competitive. Not that it is a practical tactic but to see pro players doing a TPvT. It just looks like chaotic delight.
It’s viable if you’re maxed out in your Protoss supply because each race gets its own supply per player. So you can have 400 supply worth of units.

Prot should have +3 atk marines and D-matrix recall a mass of them in the main instead of investing so much in nuke.

Watching this game makes me wish someone made a modded version of SC: Mass Recall that inexplicably gave each race some units from other races for support in key areas. Think of all the *nasty* combinations.
Arbiters granting invis to Siege Tank lines with a couple Lurkers nearby to provide additional cover for the tanks.
Or SCV's repairing Protoss units and Medics healing Zerg units.
Zerg Guardians with Protoss Scouts supporting them, and Battlecruisers for heavy artillery.

@@Racnive Reavers, Goliaths and Infestors sounds.... evil. Fungal Growth+Scarab barrage from long range, Goliaths to chase off approaching air units, and you can even use an Infestor to Mind Control anything particularly threatening and leave it helpless against the attack.
Honestly, it's a shame we so rarely fought against joint races. I remember the one mission from Brood War where you're trying to assassinate the UED-Controlled Overmind and you have the unenviable task of going up against Medic-Hydralisk combos, which is frankly just mean. Hydralisks don't need the help.

this allows you to go 400/400 right? Why isn't this good in a mega late game?
because in order to pull it off youd need to play two races at once with the same effectiveness as 1, and at the point you can actually steal a worker its midgame at the very least and now you have to play with one race that starts with a single worker. then you have to either play with godlike efficiency, or pull off some of the army you have to protect the base that starts with a single worker and no cc/hatch, or just yolo it and hope that the controlled units dont get merced while going through the early tech tree
it sounds good on paper, but isnt usually worth it to try

In addition, it's really difficult to find the spare resources to spend on walking up the tech tree + purchasing enough upgrades to become effective. Unless the main faction is already supply capped, their money would almost certainly be better spent on building more units which already have upgrades.
It feels like this strategy would only work in a game where you're already winning, in which case it's redundant. Still super fun though.
@@PuppyM0dr couldn’t you just transition all of your workers to the secondary race? Free up all supply for your main for army
@@aeroslythe6881 that sounds like a great way to waste time more than anything. like, youd still have to wait to build those workers and then send your others to die when you could just not do that, or even just build units from the race you mind controlled and put them in your army
