thanks! This is perfect, I am helping my daughter get ready for a school play that takes place in the 40's and this hairdo is exactly what I need to do. Great tutorial!
Thanks so much for these tutorials! I'm starting a video channel where I review old movies and have a different vintage hair style for each one, but hair isn't my thing, so this is extremely helpful, to put it mildly! And I love how your hair is pink. It not only looks cool, but it makes it easier to see what you're doing with your hair.
My favorite singer had a music era where she did 40s-60s styles and she did victory rolls! She also has a song called Primadonna and I thought of it when you said primadonna lashes
This was honestly the most simplest victory roll tutorial I've come upon, and I've watched a few videos of other girls doing that. The other ones require lots of teasing, and other things. But thank the lord for you!!! I'm totally going to try this look out ❤️
I LOVE that you're making videos more frequently again!!! I have missed you. Rewatching the old ones just doesn't cut it sometimes! Side note: these historic hair tutorials are so fun, and I love how witty you are!!! I've never been so entertained by a hair tutorial before! I also love that you educate us a bit with the history. I'm super into that. ;) Haha.
Where was this when I needed it mostt for my 40s themed musical! This looks really good, loving itt. Thank you Ange for making this. I'm so referring to this when I need dem victory rolls again in the future ♥
+Sebastian Columbine Was totally thinking about you (as I read ALB's title for this vid) and your video you just put out a couple hours before this one about your absolutely AMAZING new haircut and how you want to try victory rolls. :) Neat coincidence! Can't wait to see your rendition! :)
What I love about 40's styles was the reason for their development - women couldn't generally afford much in the way of high fashion and dramatic makeup under the restrictions of rationing to the best way to make a statement was with your hair. And they got wonderfully creative!
CLAPS LIKE A JOYFUL SEAL I don't even sort of have the hair length for your tutorials but they still delight me! Would you ever do a face makeup routine vid? Like what foundation/concealer/etc you use?
Loving the hair tutorials Angie!! But I'm still waiting for that wonderful planner guide you are gonna make :) Tbh I'm happy you're posting more videos in general
Going with the current 1940s style theme, you should totally do a tutorial on casual pin up curls like Agent Peggy Carter :) loving these videos by the way!
thank you thank you thank you thank you! i have super long hair too and can never find a great tutorial for long hair :) i love your videos and you uploaded this at the perfect time
The length of your hair=goals! I for one, cannot keep myself from cutting off my hair at some point or another, even if I am trying to grow it out! How do you do it!?! P.S. No matter if I want to learn anything in your tutorials, I still watch them because I just freaking adore you! 😍😍💖
ange, may i ask why you keep your hair pastel pink these days rather than a more vibrant shade? is there any reason other than just wanting to mix things up a bit and rock a lighter colour? just curious :) love your work
pastel pink is just more my style these days. I'm interested in a much softer pink than I was when I was younger- my favourite colours are all pastels 💞 baby pink, lavender, mint! I love these colours so much, I just want everything in these 😂
+Julia lenart I don't know what I would say in that video, since it's the exact same method I described in my last one. I use the same dye, I do the same thing. I just use slightly less Atomic Pink when I'm mixing my colour.
for the other slippery healthy-haired people . Applying a mousse right after you shower and combing it through the lengths of your hair before drying works nicely too, and pairing it with dry shampoo(as suggested in the video) later in the week is awesome volume and hold-vise. (any kind of mousse would work I think, an added bonus is that your hair may take longer to look greasy too)
Hi Ang! What is the logic to where you place your bobby pins? I always use a million pins but never seem to be able to properly anchor the rolls to my head. x.x
I'm not Ang but I usually stick them in the roll itself! I tease my hair when I do victory rolls so it gives the bobby pin something to grab onto and really helps anchor the roll to my head. Plus, it hides the bobby pin! If you don't want to tease your hair, pinning into the roll would probably still work!
Can you make a fun hair tutorial for short hair? I had a pixie cut and have managed to grow it out to a Bob but it is still too short to do anything fun! I just want to be able to do SOMETHING with it while I wait for it to grow. Though I loved my pixie cut and had it for three years, if I had known how painstakingly long it would take to grow it out, I probably would have had second thoughts.
I have so many baby hairs framing my face. It makes victory rolls hard to achieve. Do you have any suggestions to make those baby hairs stay in place? I want to wear this hairstyle dancing but I don't know if it's possible!
I've got a bunch of baby hairs, well, maybe not even baby hairs, but a fine layer of hair that's an inch and a half at my hairline. What should I do with it in this hair style? Spray it into the victory roll or just leave it there?
How do you conceal your bobby pins so well? Whenever I do a hairstyle like this I find I have to use a million to hold it in place, and concealing them is impossible!
wow you are beautiful! idk why but you remind me of Marylin Monroe! Btw, you should do a tutorial Marylin Inspired! is just a suggestion! I am loving you videos. kisses from Portugal
thanks! This is perfect, I am helping my daughter get ready for a school play that takes place in the 40's and this hairdo is exactly what I need to do. Great tutorial!
That face you made at the end is just perfect. I love how you're so elegant but silly at the same time
+soph loaf of bread I love this so much, too(^ - ^)
I am 100% behind more tutorials like this! Your personality shines through and your little jokes and quirks are perfect.
+changeitlikearemix Yes! I like her hair tutorials better than any other hair tutorial I've seen on youtube.
"Because it's looking okay, spray spray spray!" is my new favorite hair mantra. Love this look!
4:20 I'm not the only one to laugh when she said "two fingers as always", right?
if there was a fan club for your hair, i'd be in it. awesome tutorial, thanks!
Thanks so much for these tutorials! just discovered this channel and im in love love love
thanks alb! I had sort of given up on victory rolls cuz I thought my hair was too thick but you have SO MUCH HAIR that it gives me hope! love you!!
The way you break down the steps makes it seem so easy! Def gonna try this next time I need to get fancy
My favorite singer had a music era where she did 40s-60s styles and she did victory rolls! She also has a song called Primadonna and I thought of it when you said primadonna lashes
your comment is super old but I was literally just listening to Electra Heart in the shower which is what prompted me to this video.
MARINA AND THE DIAMONDS SKKSKS
This was honestly the most simplest victory roll tutorial I've come upon, and I've watched a few videos of other girls doing that. The other ones require lots of teasing, and other things. But thank the lord for you!!! I'm totally going to try this look out ❤️

Okay, I just wanted to recreate victory rolls in general but once I saw Aurora I fangirled!
How do you keep your hair healthy?
I think she talks about it in her pink hair FAQ video and her how to get long hair video. But she also says it's not as healthy as it looks.
+Sebastian Columbine Was totally thinking about you (as I read ALB's title for this vid) and your video you just put out a couple hours before this one about your absolutely AMAZING new haircut and how you want to try victory rolls. :) Neat coincidence! Can't wait to see your rendition! :)
+Sebastian Columbine I have a video all about hair health! :D th-cam.com/video/Gpzlsa3-Pms/w-d-xo.html

Does this hairstyle work on shorter hair? Like just above shoulder length?
What shade/brand of lipstick is that???

You make it look so easy 😭
I have so many baby hairs framing my face. It makes victory rolls hard to achieve. Do you have any suggestions to make those baby hairs stay in place? I want to wear this hairstyle dancing but I don't know if it's possible!
Do you think this is possible with bangs as well? My bangs are quite big so I don`t have that much hair going down :/
+TreeloCosplay Oh totally! Tons of girls rock these with bangs, I would definitely look up images for inspiration, so many good pics! :D
I really need to! :D I tried it earlier this morning and failed miserably, haha. But the video is incredibly helpfull, thank you so much
mine was an absolute mess lol, did you use a curler??
I've got a bunch of baby hairs, well, maybe not even baby hairs, but a fine layer of hair that's an inch and a half at my hairline. What should I do with it in this hair style? Spray it into the victory roll or just leave it there?
