100 songs with 2 million+ streams, 25 with 50 million+. Not too shabby for a group that pretty much disappeared for 40 years and peaked in the 70's
They received the "1 Billion Streams" Brit Award in 2023 as 1 of only 3 legacy acts. The other 2 legacy acts are The Rolling Stones and Queen.
Again proofing that ABBA are among the All Time biggest acts.

Having listened to all the albums fully through recently, crazy to me how little recognition the Ring Ring album gets. To me, it is easily their best album.

i'm in pretty much agreement with the order too, although one of five of my all time favourites 'just like that' didn't even enter, but then again it is a bit of an obscure track.
abba are my all time favourite band by far, and it is pure joy to see the pure joy that the world has for them.

I just looked it up and according to a site that I found (chartmasters.org) they have a whopping total of over 7.5 BILLION streams on Spotify. I’m not sure if this is accurate but it could be, since a lot of songs are on their Spotify profile multiple times (live versions etc.), where I only counted the most streamed version for my video.
Furthermore I’m happy to hear that you enjoyed my video. It was indeed a lot of work, but when I read comments like this, it’s worth the effort for me!🤍

I was only surprised Fernando was not in the top 10 otherwise a great countdown building up the tension to the obvious winner with almost double the votes of second place. gimme gimme gimme should've been further down the list. Easy to declare -0:19 most of the songs used in Mama Mia 1 & 2 are of the highest ranking songs and then their latest album had old and new fans, younger fans using technology more than the older fans and it is a billion for Dancing Queen

Well in 4-9 sometimes depends on my mood lol for example if i want to be more hippie much more listen to ring ring, or if i want much pop disco i will go to the arrival or the album, it is complicated but, im sure every abba fan will understand me 😅

I don't know how "Little Things" could be played more than songs like I''m A Marionette" or "Hole In Your Soul" let alone even being in the top 100. Not a favourite song at all and the least song played when I listen to the "Voyage" album

It’s an objective benchmark, but I guess it is indeed rather a list of which ABBA songs are popular among the younger generations. And of course everyone has their personal preferences and songs they think are underrated, but hey, that’s how music works right?🤍
Having sat through this entire list, it is evident that most of those who use Spotify (whatever that is) are missing out on the very best ABBA songs. The Visitors album, which is in my view their best album, has gone largely unnoticed in comparison to earlier tracks. The other possibility is that most ABBA fans aren't particularly discerning. I rate them as the best band in the world but there are only about 60 here that I would actually choose to listen to.
@@morningsky8045 there are some of us who are demanding. If you ask me to much early songs to high on this list. For me bigges surprise is low place of one of their best masterpices The day before you came and Eagle. In total all The Visitors album songs should be higher. i am surprised Bumbelbee was so high ( it is my favourite from Voyage with Don't shut me down and Ode to freedom ).
For me The day before you came is ultimate song thet describes perfectly how booring days are in your life until RIGHT ONE changes your life. But my guess is that different people see different massage in this song.
@@andrejxyxy2020 For decades I rated The Beatles as clearly the best band in terms of the sheer number of good to great songs they wrote and recorded. But in amongst that I also recognized some of the utter tripe they produced, particularly as they approached the end. They had started out like a runaway train, but in the end could barely make it into the station with all the bickering. Their hardcore fans still refuse to acknowledge such things and I find it to be the same with ABBA diehards.
About 8 years ago I decided to pay more attention to ABBA as I had always liked their hits from the 70's without investigating any further. While most of their early work was average at best, ABBA developed their songwriting craft to (in my view) eclipse even The Beatles. I was stunned by the depth of high quality album tracks I hadn't previously heard. And when they eventually broke up they were absolutely at their musical peak despite the relationship issues.
For me it's all about the melodies, and Benny is a master at composing beautiful tunes. Bjorn's lyrics are witty and insightful, while both Agnetha and Frida delivered them with authenticity and perfection - unlike today's warblers who think it's all about them and not the actual song.
As good as The Day Before You Came is, to truly appreciate the greatness of that song I recommend listening to Benny's piano instrumental recording. It is one of the best melodies I've heard - along with his When The Waves Roll Out To Sea. I'll stop rambling now.
