Piano/Organ Program | International Music Camp

The Piano and Piano/Organ programs include daily classes in piano technique, piano literature, musicianship, keyboard harmony, ensemble performance, music history and master classes. Classes are divided into elementary, intermediate, and advanced sections. Two half hour private lessons are included in the Piano and Piano/Organ program fees. Piano/Organ students will take their lessons on the Organ instead of Piano. Students can sign up for an additional set of two lessons. The program is open to students ages 10 through adult with at least two years of piano experience.
Another opportunity for advanced high school pianists, will be to collaborate with vocalists during Session 4. The Collaborative Voice and Piano Program will select a few students in the choir and piano programs to work together on repertoire for piano and voice. They will be coached by IMC artist-teaching faculty in voice and piano for one hour each day. These sessions are designed to teach the young musicians the intricacies of working together, and allow them opportunities to get immediate feedback and advice. Collaborative students perform on the Friday afternoon recital at the end of the session.
