Not surprised. Mom and Dad took my sister and me to Kentucky Horse country in 1968, and Spendthrift was one of the farms we visited. We saw Nashua, Swaps, Never Bend, Creme dela Creme, Gallant Man, Raise A Native, and Sword Dancer. All horses that figure prominently in race horse pedigrees today.
