- What is an A to E assessment? The A to E Assessment is a widely used approach for deteriorating and acutely unwell patients. How to do an A to E assessment of a patient. Known as the ABDCE Clinical Approach, it works through various life threatening conditions, giving priority to the most severe issues.

Really good. Although not a trauma-focused primary assessment, I love that things like checking a glucose during "D" is discussed. I'll use this for my nursing students.
