Awesome!!! I'm already hooked to your podcasts. I love all of Michael's designs and want to knit one right away. Power to him for all his accomplishments! Due to Covid I was stuck on a tiny island in Thailand for 9 months without yarn. I managed to order some cotton via Lazada which was better than nothing. I usually knit but given the choice of yarn I did lots of crocheting mainly hats and flowers.
This was such a fun and interesting episode. Thank you for introducing me to Michael and his designs. I had heard of the Master Knitter program, but I had no idea it was so intense. I was blown away when he said there were only like two knit shops in all of Bangkok.
I was so excited to see this interview! I would love to test knit this for you!!! It’s stunning! I must admit, I spend almost as much time looking at your photos as I do your knitting! I’m blown away!
I use Yarn Pond for testing my patterns. I’m working on republishing a rare, out of print modular knitting book from 1952. I’ve been working with the book for years and tend to gloss over the details because I’m so familiar with the method, but my test knitters are able to look at the patterns and writing with fresh eyes and give me truly amazing feedback!
I am very tempted, I think I have the right personality for it. I love learning and I don;t take critique personally The only thing that makes me hesitate is the amount of writing, it's just not my forte and with English being my second language it's extra challenging.
I am really curious to meet that person, not because I think the whole world must love me, but the consistency of dislikes just really spikes my curiosity :)
Thank you for the introduction to Michael. I enjoyed listening about his knitting history and perspectives.
Glad you enjoyed it! Michael is such an interesting and knowledgeable man

that must've been so frustrating. But you are right, better than nothing.

I guess it sort of makes sense because it's in the tropics. But, yes, i expected more
Lovely conversation ❤

I often find that to be true, not knowing the pattern intimately helps testers to spot mistakes or unclear spots.
What an interesting person Michael is. Irina, would you do a master knitter certification?

I totally get it. English is not my mother tongue either. I just have to say Go for it. ❤️
I so love how he said only doing it in when you’re in the mood for it ❤️🧶
The one person who gave a thumbs down, give explanation why, as courtesy to the presenters.
