- NJ - NY - PA Tri Point - New Jersey High Point. We are traveling now and are in the PA area. we were within an hour from the NJ - NY - PA Tri Point and the New Jersey High Point. They are about 5 miles away from each other. There is a War Monument for the veterans of New Jersey on top of the high point. For a dollar you can climb to the top. Be aware though it is 291 step to get to the top. High Point State Park is the 1st state park in New Jersey. The land was donated by Colonel Kuser. He as funded the War Monument on the High point. The tri point marker is located in Port Jervis, NH along the Delaware Rive under route 84. The is also a Witness Monument near the parking area. The actual Tri State Marker is a rock near the rivers edge. If the water is high, you may not see the rock.

I’m an Eagle Scout now but as a Cub Scout from jersey city I went here with my troop 7 times outta each year bc it was a popular spot to hike n those stairs omg be prepared for an anxiety attack and a half climbing up those shits 😪😂
I have been to High Point dozens of times and have never been to the Tri-point. Great site information as always. I did notice the river was really low. Happy traveling.
Wish we had known, we would have invited you to come. It was a nice park. We heard when the Delaware River is high the Tri State rock is hidden. 😃

Port Jervis! That's where we get gas on the way to and from PA. You get off 84, go down the road like an 8th of a mile and you've gone over the line into NJ. Gas is cheap and state law forbids self service. Did you check out the PA Welcome Center and see the big stuffed bear?
We did notice that PA is a little pricey for gas. We did not check out the Welcome Center coming in this time. If we get a chance and go by it again while we are here we'll stop and see it.😃

We went over to the NJ side of the Delaware River and played around in the Van Campens Upper/Lower Glen area. Very pretty.😃

the highpoint monument isnt worth it. i climbed to the top and i barely got a view. if they make it all clean glass, it would be way better, but we cant get all we want. i wish i could enter the bunkers, i know theres one entrance on a small little trail, its just sealed shut.
Agreed, the windows could use cleaning. Nice area though!
