Great advice, just do it. Three years ago my wife and I moved from PA to New Mexico to work with drug and alcohol recovery. I much prefer the landscape of PA, but our calling is out here now. Nice video.

I remember going there on a school trip when I was a little kid. Born and raised and still living in NW NJ.

I am from Alaska! I am trying to do the Highest Point of each of the Fifty States! Denali is Alaska's State Highpoint at 20,310 ft! I am thinking about also doing All of Alaska's Borough's Highpoints! Alaska has Boroughs not Counties!

I was there last year... The lake water is so cold and refreshing I don't think I been anywhere like that in the entire state... Theres a very nice woody scenic road that takes you to Stokes State Park.. Its just plain old beautiful... Stokes does not have a swimming area so if your camping you have two other places to go and High Points is beautiful..

My mom lives in Warren County right near the Delaware Water Gap. The northwest corner of New Jersey is beautiful mountain forest terrain. Most people don't even know there are parts of New Jersey like that.

Great video. I’ve seen that monument every time I travel to PA along I 84. I believe it’s the point where New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania come together. And I was not aware you could drive up there. Thanks for sharing these videos with us! Great views.

Great video. I haven't been there in close to 20 years. Somewhere in that park, possibly on the mountain, there is an Atlantic White Cedar swamp, and a trail goes through it. Here in the pine barrens the cedar swamps are common, but not so much up there.

The highest point in N.J. is not at the monument. The 1972 US Geological survey found a higher elevation on top of Vernon NJ along the gas pipeline

Many eastern states have a stupid road on their freaking high point, thus wrecking it. One thing that I like about PA is that they don't have a stinking road and a rat-ass visitor center on their high point. Most of the states I visit here in the east eff up their highest mountain. Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, West Virginia, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New Jersey all have roads and buildings on their high points. It's messed up. For some reason Virginia avoided doing that, thank goodness. Kentucky avoided it because the high point is owned by a coal company that was getting ready to use Black Mountain as a strip mine and it was going to end up as a pit instead of a mountain. But somehow that was avoided (for now). Maine and New York and Connecticut also have high points free of roads. Mansfield in Vermont doesn't have a road to the top, but it does have suck-ass ski resorts on the slopes (ya just can't win, sometimes).
Having never been to Jersey's high point, I have to say it's cooler than I figured it would be. Not bad, actually!

Soon there will be buildings in Manhattan that are taller than the highest point in New Jersey!
No offense but 1,803 feet altitude is not very impressive! Perhaps only Florida and Delaware have a lower “high point”. Nevertheless, I am familiar with that northwest quadrant of New Jersey and that is the prettiest part of the “Garden State” (but again there is not much competition because most of New Jersey suffers from toxic pollution and petrochemical refineries.
