The difference with the 4 major pageant with MGI is they didn’t claim they’re a major pageant and just do what their organization must do which is charity and helping people. MGI has a long way to achieve that and it only start when their organization establish a clear purpose or cause.
Miss Earth and Miss Supranational ARE major pageants. Miss Earth is supported by the United Nations ever since 2001 and Miss Supranational gives topnotch productions and amazing winners. 👑
Yeah and even Miss Earth is the less extravagant in terms of production among the BIG 4, it is the most consistent organization when it comes to advocacy.
MGI is not a major pageant because there's no judge and Nawat was the only one who was choosing to win his pageant. And also its advocacy is useless. While ME is helpful because they are doing its advocacy in action.

Actually MGI 2017 supposed to air on TV5 but pulled out at the last minute despite Nawat invited Xian Lim to host the pageant.

Nawat was once a Miss Earth Thailand National Director. However, he was fired because he was then recruiting other National Directors to join his pageantry.

There's no need for Nawat to go that low. MGI is doing great in terms of entertainment. Stick to the entertainment aspect because he will not be able to gain a good reputation by throwing muds to others. Resorting to shading is not going to give MGI the the ranking it is aspiring for.

Well said...💕 The thing with the Big 4 pageants they were able to stand by with their mission and vision. You can basically see it in the activities of the winners and activities of the organization. With due respect to MGI, yes they have a mission but have you ever seen any of their social outputs. The activities of the winners only starts from the show, a few showbiz appearances, and that's it. There's no social responsibility unlike the Big 4 pageants. That's why the worth of MGI is not there. They're only for the pageant show and nothing else.

Lacking of professionalism and equality you can actually find in this competition because of toxicity level of mentality that individuals who are taking managed this pageant. Moreover the candidates like Philippine representative has been brutally ashamed by their verbal attacks. However, every countries have the power not to let their candidates to step on that such competition as wake up call and put them into campaign against unfair and biased verbal expressions and of course should we include here about how they manipulate the results to make it favorable for them.

Luckily Catriona Gray did not pursue to sue against Coco despite Coco shared an altered photo of her vs Clara Sosa, in fact Catriona won MU 2018 in Thailand. The same thing for IMG and MUO that they did not pursue to file lawsuit against Coco despite she maligned MU as a Nokia cellphone.

If I were a National Director of a certain pageant of our country I will never ever send a candidate to this cheap, bully and bias Miss Grand COOKING International show. The problem is not the pageant, but the people like Nawat and other toxic individuals who run the competitions and trying to influence the outcome of the pageant according to who they want and who they don't like. From my knowledge, Nawat used to be a franchise holder for ME, he asked for a favor from the MEO to get the list of the National Directors of the Org, however later MEO found out (after giving him the list) that Nawat was trying to brainwash the NDs and said bad things about MEO, that's were the trust went out of the window, Nawat took revenge with ME by creating his own pageant where he can decide which girl to win base on his terms. Unlike the BIG 5 pageant, they have credible judges, and a law firm (who verifies the scores) and the Big 5 pageant President is way too far from Nawat because they have this called respect. Last night, Samantha Bernardo aced all the categories in both the prelim and final show. Eventually, she placed second best in this year's pageant. The golden crown seemed very elusive even for the most prepared Filipina bets. It doesn't even add up when BPCI sends Miss Univese calibre representatives and still not getting the crown from this minor pageant. Well, it stems from the rivalry between Philippines and Thailand being the powerhouse of beauty in Asia alongside India and Indonesia. Let me explain further. In 2014, MGI president Nawat Itsaragrisil and then national director (ND) of MGI Thailand was the license holder of Miss Earth (ME) in Thailand. During the Miss Earth competition that year, he attended the coronation. But he didn't attend just to watch. He was there to recruit national directors of ME to hold a national license for his one year old MGI pageant. In other words, he stole NDs of ME so he can grow the number of participants for his MGI pageant. After knowing this, Lorraine Schuck (Miss Earth founder) sacked Nawat. From then on, he was never allowed to bid for the national license of ME in Thailand. So the rage began. Few years later, MGI made rounds on social media due to its glamorous staging of the pageant. Many countries have participated in the show and it has since contested Miss Earth as one of the most talked about beauty pageants in the world. Miss Earth is considered by pageant bloggers and enthusiasts as one of the Big 4 or the Alpha pageants alongside Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss International. In other words, Nawat sees ME now as a competition. Through the fourth win of the Philippines (host country of ME) with Karen Ibasco, Thai pageant fans accused ME for having the pageant results rigged. It's a trap. No pageant or titleholder should respond to MGI/Nawat's antics. He wants to drag other pageants down to the level if his pageant. If you respond to his taunts, you have not only disparaged the prestige of your organization and the title you hold, you would also have given Nawat the chance to attack your pageant. DON'T respond to him, just continue with your respective pageants and charities. If no one listens to him, he will cease to exist soon enough.

I think it reflected on Thailand's performance at MU since they still did not manage to get in the Top 3 or win since 1988. Philippines and India already overtook Thailand based on number of wins.

MGI is just purely a Fashion Show. Nawat is confined to thinking that his pageant is on top but has forgotten the real purpose of an international pageant. He made a backdrop of the show calling it " WORLD PEACE" but seems nothing can be seen in his show that reflects how it contributes to world peace, rather by his way of spewing some bad words HUMILIATING THE CULTURE OF India, other pageants like ME and SUPRA became also victims of his itchy mouth. Since Mgi came to the world of pageantry, they have been the cause of chaos, war and fighting and it has caused us to no longer be united. My advice to MGI or Mr. Nawat, instead of being pathetic or bitter. They should show that they a role model and have a good character that we can tell them that they are worthy.

MGI is definitely a BIG5 organisation out of the minor international pageants. The BIG5 minor pageants are MIC, Miss Globe, Miss Charm, Miss Global and lastly MGI.

Nawat is a former national director of Miss Earth Thailand. He was fired because the Miss Earth Organization found out that he is sabotaging the org. He is asking other Miss Earth ND to leave ME and join the pageant that he will build. Which is the MGI now.

Luckily Catriona Gray did not pursue to sue against Coco despite Coco shared an altered photo of her vs Clara Sosa, in fact Catriona won MU 2018 in Thailand. The same thing for IMG and MUO that they did not pursue to file lawsuit against Coco despite she maligned MU as a Nokia cellphone.

From my knowledge, Nawat used to be a franchise holder for ME, he asked for a favor from the MEO to get the list of the National Directors of the Org, however later MEO found out (after giving him the list) that Nawat was trying to brainwash the NDs and said bad things about MEO, that's were the trust went out of the window, Nawat took revenge with ME by creating his own pageant where he can decide which girl to win base on his terms. Unlike the BIG 5 pageant, they have credible judges, and a law firm (who verifies the scores) and the Big 5 pageant President is way too far from Nawat because they have this called respect. But Nawat is all over social media barking like a crazy dog showing his true color, delusional and self-proclaimed

Why Nawat won't crown a Filipina MGI candidate just yet?
In 2016, Nicole Cordoves performed better than the rest of the top 5 in the Miss Grand International pageant. Eventually, the non-English speaker Indonesian girl won the pageant. It was the first heartbreak of Filipino pageant fans regarding MGI. Last night, Samantha Bernardo aced all the categories in both the prelim and final show. Eventually, she placed second best in this year's pageant.
The golden crown seemed very elusive even for the most prepared Filipina bets. It doesn't even add up when BPCI sends Miss Univese calibre representatives and still not getting the crown from this minor pageant. Well, it stems from the rivalry between Philippines and Thailand being the powerhouse of beauty in Asia alongside India and Indonesia. Let me explain further. In 2014, MGI president Nawat Itsaragrisil and then national director (ND) of MGI Thailand was the license holder of Miss Earth (ME) in Thailand. During the Miss Earth competition that year, he attended the coronation. But he didn't attend just to watch. He was there to recruit national directors of ME to hold a national license for his one year old MGI pageant. In other words, he stole NDs of ME so he can grow the number of participants for his MGI pageant. After knowing this, Lorraine Schuck (Miss Earth founder) sacked Nawat. From then on, he was never allowed to bid for the national license of ME in Thailand. So the rage began.
Few years later, MGI made rounds on social media due to its glamorous staging of the pageant. Many countries have participated in the show and it has since contested Miss Earth as one of the most talked about beauty pageants in the world. Miss Earth is considered by pageant bloggers and enthusiasts as one of the Big 4 or the Alpha pageants alongside Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss International. In other words, Nawat sees ME now as a competition. Through the fourth win of the Philippines (host country of ME) with Karen Ibasco, Thai pageant fans accused ME for having the pageant results rigged. To which Nawat would teasingly post on his social media as 'mabuhay cooking show.' It is clear that Nawat wants to discredit Miss Earth and unseat the pageant from the Big 4. However, legit pageant bloggers such as Missosology denied the relevance and credibility of MGI which became a rock to Nawat's quest to popularity of his pageant. To fight this rejection, Nawat paid Global Beauties (a pageant blog) to form the Grand Slam beauty pageants which include Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International, Miss Supranational, and Miss Grand International. The rivalry between Miss Earth and Miss Grand International (one which Lorriane Schuck doesn't care about) extends to a rivalry between Filipino and Thai fans. When Thais are bashing Karen Ibasco, Filipinos attack Patraporn Wang (Miss Intercontinental 2014), Nawat's candidate in the said pageant whom Filipinos accuse of winning the pageant by merely showing her underwear in the evening gown segment and with Nawat's bribery.
But why Nawat won't crown a Filipina MGI candidate just yet? Again, Nawat is Thai and the rivalry for the position of the beauty powerhouse in Asia is between Thailand and Philippines. At this point, Philippines has won four Miss Universe, one Miss World, six Miss International, and four Miss Earth titles. It has also won one Miss Intercontinental, one Miss Supranational and one Miss Globe title and many other minor pageant titles in the last decade. In the world ranking, Philippines ties with USA as second to Venezuela (holding 23 crowns) having the most beauty pageant titles with 15 crowns in its treasure chest. In Asia, Philippines is on top while its legit rival, India, falls far behind with 9 crowns. Now if Philippines won MGI, it will truly be the powerhouse of beauty in Asia. And that is something Nawat, a Thai pageant enthusiast, cannot allow to happen. To starve Philippines with one MGI crown means Philippines cannot have it all.

It's a trap. No pageant or titleholder should respond to MGI/Nawat's antics. He wants to drag other pageants down to the level if his pageant. If you respond to his taunts, you have not only disparaged the prestige of your organization and the title you hold, you would also have given Nawat the chance to attack your pageant. DON'T respond to him, just continue with your respective pageants and charities. If no one listens to him, he will cease to exist soon enough.

MGI is definitely a BIG5 organisation out of the minor international pageants. The BIG5 minor pageants are MIC, Miss Globe, Miss Charm, Miss Global and lastly MGI.
MGI is not a universal pageant it's a pageant in one country which is Thailand.
not only in thailand but also in indonesia those two countries collaborated in one of the cheapest beauty pageants which is mgi make their own pageant for the upliftment of their country in the pageant they even say that they are the powerhouse in asia poor those two countries..

I am not bothered by what he said because Miss Grand is squeezing themselves to those who are alread in the pedestal. THE NERVE. What I am bothered is his attitude, immature behavior and MENTAL HEALTH. I think he is still under quarantine that he has nothing relevant (like his pageant) to do in his country.

Mr. Nawwat is the only one pageant director be like that. Thats why we dont like the miss grand already. They had so many votings but its useless in the final and that makes us filipino anger to him. Nawwat is the worst national director or the president of miss grand.

Nawat is a former national director of Miss Earth Thailand. He was fired because the Miss Earth Organization found out that he is sabotaging the org. He is asking other Miss Earth ND to leave ME and join the pageant that he will build. Which is the MGI now.
