- Perfect for the casual birdwatcher, or someone wanting an idea of what birds you can find on a typical visit.
In this episode we visit Sydney Park which is a short 20 mins south of Sydney CBD. This is the perfect park for an introduction to Sydney's most common birds, including the White-faced Heron, Laughing Kookaburra, Australasian Darter, Australian Magpie and many more.
Filmed and photographed with a Nikon Z9 and a 400 MM f2.8 lens, with iPhone 15 used for wide shots.

Beautiful video love the music as well
Thank you very much. The music is so hard to pick, I think my last couple of videos I have got it right though.
Thanks for sharing the unseen
Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment.
Another great Video Roger. And a lovely Park.
Thanks Mum
I can't believe I got over 10 right- thanks to watching all your previous Sydney birding videos! That stands me in good stead when I visit Oz in 11 weeks time. Thank you Roger, great work.
That is a good tally! You will be an Aussie birding expert by the time you arrive.
@@RogerMacKertich there were no LBJs there that's why! I always try to brush up on the birds I'm likely to see on a trip beforehand, I find it helps. It also annoys the hell out of local bird guides I use (particularly Gambia) when I tell them what a bird is!
Wonderful, again☺️
Thanks again!
Great video as always Roger!
Thank you very much
That was great. Thanks very much for sharing. Missed a couple (were on the tip of the tongue)
Glad you enjoyed it
It’s been so long since I’ve driven in that part of Sydney I didn’t realise the brickworks were gone 😂 Great video
Yes but it nice the chimneys are still there. Thanks
Amazing video for sharing, you living in few different places, do you need car rental at all or you have other transportation way to each location, thanks again, looking forward for your next video sharing.
Thank you. You can get to quite a few of the locations with public transport. I live in Sydney and have a car to get around. Plenty more videos to come!
Nice vid of my local park, but you missed the Australian Figbirds that are there lately.
Thank you. Yes there are quite a number of birds that I didn’t see, figbirds are pretty too!

Excellent effort! Which one you miss?
