You know, even after Michael said all those things about Madonna - she still stook up for him against the molestation accusations years later.
She probably now understands how MJ saw her actions, she's mature enough now to understand she was rude/lacked empathy at the time. "I had abandoned him" - taken Madonna defended MJ in 2003 she most probably did not refer to his allegation, but referred to other occasions.

This is it. This was the core of their relationship. She felt he was too enclosed within and she wanted him to loosen up a bit but also Madonna felt like MJ was too much of a star, even for her, so in the presence of MJ's manners she felt belittled (but that's more on her than Mjs fault) but I do believe she had good intentions. She pitied him.
Madonna, of course, is not the girl of Michael Jackson's dreams, but she spoke worthy about him, at a time when some "friends" preferred to remain silent.
My take away from this is just that she cared about him in the sense of wanting the best for him, thinking someone needed to come back down to earth, and she went about it in her aggressive way unfortunately. But besides their personalities already not being compatible, MJ is just a very unique individual and she read the situation wrong... I don't think she truly had malice toward him during the sunglasses incident. Just my 2 cents, but I wasn't there and I don't know either one of them.
Idk I kinda feel like she wanted to be one of those "I can change him" girls when there was really nothing wrong with him. He had his own personality, thoughts and feelings about life and business. She acted like he wasn't normal but let's be honest wth does "normal" even mean? I lived those days and was fan of both, but Michael was miles ahead of her and everyone else. There is no comparison. She is amazing and had fantastic hits, but Michael, not only his songs, but his dancing and performances, where just out of this world and still not topped to this day.

None of the other solo artist in that time was nearly a triple threat like she was. She could sing, dance, and perform as well as he did. Every teenage girl in America tried to copy her, look like her, and dress like her.

MJ was insecure over Madonna's sudden rise to super stardom so not surprisingly MJ chose not to include her in that song. The fact that she snatched Michael Jackson’s sunglasses and threw it across the room to say “you’re going to be normal like the rest of us” kinda like really pissed me off.
First off, he’s very shy, second- he hates showing his eyes because he’s always said that the eyes are like the gateway to your soul. He’s described that he’s self-conscious about people seeing his eyes because of so much pain he’s been through.
Secondly when Madonna said that she feels like, you know a country girl? While Michael Jackson is this pristine, polite person and said that it’s all about control- she’s misinterpreting him being in “control” with living with a strict a father that would beat you if you did something wrong. He had to be well mannered since he was five or six years old because he was always in the limelight.
I’m glad that she humble herself and gained a new perspective and defended MJ after his death. It was all caused by miscommunication and her self centered-ness.
I do feel like Michael added to the fire with their public bickering, but he was honest about their interactions and how he didn’t feel comfortable around her.

However Madonna's blunt and wild nature wasn't really compatible with his quiet nature. Michael was Famous and in the spotlight since 1969 when he was 11 years old and not once has anyone ever heard him mistreat or speak poorly about his fans. Have any of you ever stopped to think about how unique Michael was? He had signature jackets, pants, glove, hairstyles, socks, shoes, speaking voice, singing voice, adlibs, dance moves, music videos and who knows what else. His legacy lives on because of his work but also because of the stories told about him, there are a shit ton of those because Michael has met THOUSANDS of “VIP”s in the past and spends enough time with them for them to have a story to tell in the future on talk shows and during interviews, also his humanitarianism. He was literally one of a kind and some people say that when he enters a room it’s as if the air molecules change, people tense up and want to be around him. It’s amazing that a man as successful as him is so grounded and humble, there’s not a single story of him raising his voice in anger or being rude, in fact, there’s the exact opposite.

@Craig wells okay first of all, we do not worship mj, we support and defend him. he was a human being, even though he has passed we are still here for him. we care about him. michael had vitiligo; which was proven on his autopsy, he had universal vitiligo which is one of the types of vitiligo that covers 80% of the body, it is something that nobody can control. he was not the only one in his family to have it either. there's definitely no way that he had that many operations on his face, from what we know he has had two on his nose; first from when he broke his nose while practicing a dance. we really dont know what else could have been done cause we are not him. but he is his own person and can do whatever he wanted to do with his appearance, it is non of our business. and lastly he wears wigs because his hair caught on fire when filming a pepsi commercial. his scalp was damaged and his hair wouldnt grow back. also, he looked different during the last years of his life because all the allegations towards him were tearing him down, so he wouldn't eat, therefore he was losing weight. so how about instead of going off false stories educate yourself. you cant just hate on someone when you dont know their backstory.
